We have now used the facilities at Brighton and stayed at Bristol, Newcastle and one Poole. The room was a standard (without roll top bath, my fault as I didn't check) and was very good. The bed, as always was superb and all the facilities we needed. The hotel it's self is compact and has the usual personal boutique feel... More

We spent one night there on Friday 18th May for our 10th wedding anniversary after an invigorating walk on Durdle Walk. What a wonderful hotel - friendly staff, beautiful room, excellent quality food. While waiting to be shown to our table in the bar, and to our total surprise, the brilliant and most efficient Maitre D' presented us with 2... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel du vin as part of our tour of southern England. From the very warm reception at check in to the gorgeous meal in the evening, everything was excellent. Unfortunately the Bistro was unavailable in the evening due to a private function, but we still had a lovely meal with excellent service in the Hotel's... More

This is an excellent hotel which I'm more than happy to recommend, but there's room for improvement, particularly for business travellers. So let's start with the positives...the rooms are immaculately clean, the staff are friendly and very helpful and the bathroom linen (which include a bath robe and flannels...well done for having both) are fluffy and fresh. It's also a... More

We stayed for a couple of days and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were all helpful and pleasant. By the very nature of the hotel it has some narrow corridors, which it you are carrying a large heavy case can be a bit of a struggle. Our room was clean and tidy and of a good size. The location was... More

So rare to feel hotel staff genuinely want to go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. We really felt that this weekend. Especially the restaurant staff, really friendly and knowledgable. Amazing steaks and cocktails. Only thing I could pick fault with was breakfast service was quite slow - not sure if this is... More

We stayed at the Hotel du Vin for a weekend whilst exploring Poole and beyond to the Isle of Purbeck. We got a good rate for one night with lastminute.com for a superior double £90 and decided to extend to the 2nd night, not such a good deal with the hotel directly but worth it to stay for the weekend.... Each room in the Hotel Du Vin are creatively designed, with class, elegance and flavour. The public areas are just terrific with the artwork, furnishings, and original upholstery. Food in the restaurant, all members of our wedding party agreed was delicious paired with excellent service from the Waiters and Waitresses working that night, in particular Claire who exceeded our needs... My husband and I were lucky enough to be given a voucher for Afternoon Tea at Hotel du Vin by my sister. We booked the day before and when we arrived, the staff were extremely welcoming. They had prepared us a lovely seating area and served us up teas of our choice followed by a fine selection of sandwiches and... More

I can think of no negatives regards the Du Vin. It's a lovely hotel, wonderfully helpful staff. If you can't find a parking space, just park up anywhere, take your key to reception and they'll sort it out for you. The rooms are clean, beautifully decorated, lovely furnishings. The restaurant was superb, great food and well trained staff who know... More
