I stayed at the Phoenix in February of 2003 and while it was by no means palatial, I did not think it was bad. Hot water worked, beds were clean and staff was friendly. Would I stay there again? Oh I don't know, I earn a bit more money now, but at the time, it was adequate for our needs. More
