Lovely place. Quiet, clean and welcoming. Lovely lounge to sit in on an evening and nice big dining area. Lovely big breakfast. We had twin room with a bathroom 3 metres away for our own use AND they allow well behaved clean dogs.

This is my 3rd visit and as before Warren and Sue made us feel so welcome. My friend had a slight trip (falling over her own feet) and Sue went out of her way to check she was OK. Even loaning her an ankle strap. I had a different room this trip and like my "old" room it was very... More

Myself and a colleague stayed at the Crossroads at the end of March, the owners couldn't have been more helpful and the rooms were excellent and I needn't have brought my toiletries bag as they had provided nearly everything you would need. Breakfast was excellent with loads of choice. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone needing accommodation in... More

very nice B&B, just a few mins off M6 but you are in the countryside. Lovely hosts, explained everything and pointed out a few good eating places. Double ensuite was very nice. Only slight quibble, heating should be on earlier, we'd been in room an hour and still not taken our jumpers off - it got warm no problem, just... More

Local recommendation. Warren was really helpful and welcoming. Comfy lounge was a big plus as a solo traveller (nothing more depressing than having to stay in your room) and had time to kill following day so used the louge after the 10 am check out. Single bedroom had really comfortable bed and en suite bathroom (big bottles of shampoo, shower... More

Home from home, ideal location to break our journey from Kent to Inverness. Comfy bed and spotless bathroom. Carlisle is well worth a visit. Guest lounge is spacious and relaxing. Very helpful, nothing is to much trouble for Warren. Eric & Beth

I stayed here on my way to Scotland. It was very convenient as it was less than a mile off M6 Carlisle turn off. Warren and Sue welcomed me with coffee. The room was lovely clean with all the amenities you needed. Breakfast was fantastic and will keep you going for hours! The house even has a Roman well in... More
