Due to snow being forecast for the next morning
we made a hasty decision to book a room for the
night and be close to Manchester airport. For a
reasonable price we found this lodge advertised.
On arrival we were given a warm friendly welcome from
Dennis and were allocated a quiet room away from
the road. The room was...

Excellent location for Manchester airport, and really easy to find. Lots of parking spaces well away from the main road. Check-in was quick, easy and very friendly. Breakfast offered, but doesn't start till 8.30am at the weekend, which was after we had to leave for our flight. No lift to 1st floor rooms which wasn't an issue for us, but...

A convenient spot for an overnight stay before an early flight from Manchester Airport. Good value for money.
Room was nicely done but really smelt of cigarette smoke especially in the bathroom. Obviously some selfish person had smoked in it. Staff helpful in booking an early taxi for us.
Pillows very thin and no extra ones available. Only one hot...

Bedding was also clean.
There was ample tea, coffee, milk and sugar in the bedroom..
*** Breakfast was excellent***
MINUSES: There were no toiletries except for wall-mounted liquid soap over the washbasin and bath....

Altrincham shopping during the day, fabulous evening...

We stayed at the Bull's Head and Lodge on our way home to Canada after an extended visit to the UK. We booked an Arrow Taxi at Manchester Airport for the trip to the Bull's head and back the next morning. The cost was 14 pounds for the two of us return. The taxi arrived on time next morning for...

On our trips to Britain from Canada the Bulls head was usually our first stop for an excellent midday meal.
As friends could not put us up this time we decided to try the Bulls Head for a two night stay and we found it to be overpriced.
The rooms are dated and the beds "the ones that our friends...

Cleanliness could be majorly improved - decor needs updating - service not the best and generally overpriced for what you are getting. The receptionist when in attendance was very pleasant though, but unfortunately what seemed to be management lacked interest and people skills.
Apparantly it has been taken over and I would personally say that has had a downhill affect...
