The staff at this hotel really are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The bathroom had clearly been recently updated. The food is what you might expect from a 4 star hotel. It offers really good value for money.

We decided to have lunch in the restaurant on a day visit to Sidmouth The Staff were attentive, the service excellent without being overbearing or too formal. The food was freshly cooked, nicely served and we did not feel rushed. Our table looked out onto the seafront and we had a relaxed and enjoyable meal

Besides being and excellent hotel now and enhancing Sidmouth it has an excellent bar and just the place to stop whether it be for morning coffee, afternoon tea or lunch. Try the crab sandwiches they are just superb. Fish and chips are brilliant.
