situated amongst many other B&B's the area is convenient for walking and driving into the city or out to the beaches. A good base for trips to Sutton Bank or Rievaulx Abbey or out to the moors too. The rooms were clean and tidy, well prepared and presented. The breakfast was ample and filling with the hosts able to provide... More

This bed and breakfast is excellent. I cannot fault it. Would recommend and return without hesitation. The room was immaculately clean with everything you could want, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, an extra heater and blanket if your cold, a fan if your hot. The bed was comfortable and big enough. The shower was good, hot and wet. Breakfast had everything... More

Lovely friendly staff. Very accomodating, very eager to help. Great breakfast. I had a full English and didn't feel hungry until 3 in the afternoon. Clean rooms. Great location. Would consider returning!

we stayed here 1 night and found the b and b very clean. Lady who runs it is very nice and friendly and our breakfast was lovely. my only gripe is that the room we stayed in this time was very small and there was no chest of drawers in the room. not a problem if just staying for one... More

Bedroom 2 is not our largest room however, most of our guests who use it tell us they like it, not because of the new flat screen digital TV or because of the quality and selection of tea and coffee and not even because of the spotlessly clean en-suite facilities, they like it because of the very comfortable King-size bed! We have just returned from a two night stay at Lyness and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We were extremely lucky to have caught probably the nicest weekend in 2012. Breakfast was delicious - freshly cooked, hot and very tasty ingredients. We had 2 rooms (A double and a family room for our 2 sons to share) - both were cosy, clean... More

We recently stayed here for 3 nights, the rooms are very clean and comfortable allbeit a bit "cosy". Breakfast is very good. The location is quite handy to north bay, and a good 15 minute walk into Scarborough town, and then down to the beach and harbour. I was disappointed with Scarborough itself, finding the town and main beachfront fairly... More

Stayed here for two nights with my young daughter and mum for a few days at the coast. The guest house is so clean and tidy, I could not find any fault at all with the cleanliness. The family room we had was very big and airy and to say there was a single bed and double bed it did... More
