We booked this as a respite break for my sister who literally was turned away from heavens door last october. The location was perfect for all amenities and the glorious sunshine we had for a bank holiday was a pure luxury!! We just poodled around at a pace to suit sis without any exhaustion kicking in. There were plenty of... More

although the Windmill is ideally positioned for Scarborough we thought it was a bit over priced for what you got. the room was clean but a bit on the small size the 4 poster bed dominated the room, bathroom good size but with no heating, the towels had seen better days. breakfast was plentiful but had to ordered the day before, there was... We were disappointed to read your review as you were such a delightful and pleasant couple, and at no time did you lead us to believe that anything was wrong. We assumed that if you had a problem, you would have spoken out and let us know as we had asked you to do when you checked in. Your stay... More

I booked this as a surprise for my girlfriend who absolutely loves windmills and we weren't disappointed. The windmill itself is fantastic looking with a beautiful courtyard when not full of cars. We stayed in the balcony suite which was a little pricy at £290 for 2 nights however it was worth it for the quirkiness and to see my... More

My husband and I stayed in the balcony suite in the windmill for the weekend. It was a surprise for my husband for his birthday. He was over the moon with the windmill, as he lives staying in unusual places. Roland was very welcoming and helpful. We stayed on the balcony suite and the views were amazing. You need a... More

We loved the look of the windmill , it’s a very nice place set in its own courtyard ,but at £95 a night it left us feeling disappointed, the owner spent more time making sure we knew his rules than welcoming us as valued paying guests leaving us feeling that he thought it was a honour to be allowed to... Myself and my partner stayed at the Windmill during the last week of August and had a brilliant stay despite the rain! The room and Windmill itself were lovely and the friendly staff were great. Roland was a delight to meet and his toy collection was fascinating. Would love to stay again.

Booked a two night stay in the balcony suite for a New Year treat. We arrived in the bleakest of weather but were given a warm welcome and the balcony appartment in the windmill was lovely . It was a real experience. Although we did not fully appreciate the facilities as I was ill and spent most of the time... More

We stayed here as a special treat for my boyfriends birthday in February. We stayed in the balcony apartment which was amazing - so quirky staying in a round 'hotel', with a seperate bedroom, bathroom and upstairs living room. Sadly the weather was very cold when we stayed and there is no installed heating - just those annoying oil radiators... More

Very disappointing stay in the balcony suite.Much smaller than it appeared on the website. Foisty smell on entering and in the bedroom. Plug in heaters were inadequate and bugs found on kitchen worksurface. Be sure to take meter readings for electricity, we did but were still charged more than the meter indicated. Parking ok but very tight. Also the room... More

We were very surprised at your review and wonder if you understand the meaning of self-catering. You booked to stay in the Windmill Balcony Suite for two nights on a self-catering basis at a substantially reduced price which means – to state the obvious – you cater for yourself, namely, you provide your own food and clean up after yourself....
