The staff were nice and the location was great being just a walk away from the beach. The shops round the corner... More

Service in the bar and breakfast in the hotel were both good and staff were friendly. Our room was quite small and not as clean as we would expect, particularly the bathroom. Overall not a bad hotel... More

There was no bar and no evening meal, but fortunately the South Cliff area of Scarborough has lots of eating houses. Many years ago this hotel was known as The Princess Royal... More

Stayed at the hotel over the New Year period. The hotel is quite a grand Victorian building but in some of the corridors there was a smell of damp. The bedroom was large, clean and quite comfortable, the bathroom was emormous with a large corner bath. There were tea/coffee making facilities, trouser press, hair dryer and TV in the room.... More
