Got caught in one of the worst storms I can remember, on 8th December. We couldn't get home, as the ferry was off, and the Rest and be thankful was closed due to landslide, so had to try and find a pet friendly hotel. Tried West end, and they were fully booked, the hotel next door didn;t entertain pets at...

My wife and I regularly visit family in Dunoon, normally staying at the Argyll Hotel. This was our first visit to the St Ives and we really enjoyed it. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, each having it's own theme so all are different.
We enjoyed the breakfast and Sandra (the owner) was helpful and friendly. We will certainly...

Breakfast was served with a smile from our host, Sandra and the menu...

Staff was very helpful, rooms decorated with good taste and nice views. Very "coastal" feeling, when you hear the waves in the evening to your room. Would go back!

We are just back from a wonderful, sunny (who needs the costa's when you get weather like this in Scotland!) few days in Dunoon. We stayed at the St Ives Hotel as we have before. There have been a few changes. The two rooms had been newly decorated and could have Been in any boutique hotel with the smart black...
