Just returned from a 2 nite break at this place. We choose to self drive and not to go on a coach trip. U drive, we sould have U turned. The place is very tired and could do with lots of updating. The receptionist on arrival was very nice and helpful about parking (not a lot of room as there... More

We went on an Urquhart tour, and it got us away for the weekend, most likely better if you go with friends to make it more of a social event. The hotel advertised a cabaret weekend with 3 different evenings - rat pack, 60's and musicals, 60's was more cheese and some jokes but pleasant enough, than proper 60's, the... More

This Hotel belongs to the Hart group which is part of the David Urquhart Coach tours operation and therefore those who stay here are almost exclusively those who have paid to be on a weekend or midweek coach tour. You then have to put this into the context of what you pay overall for the holiday which includes your coach... More

The hotel is desperately in need of TLC. The rooms were clean & the staff very friendly & helpful. Meals were basic but well cooked although slightly on the meagre side. The "Burns in the Buff" evening meal was very good Scottish fayre.

This hotel was okay for the money we paid. The rooms where clean, the bathroom was clean and basic but didn't have a window or extractor fan. The temperature wasn't consistent throughout the hotel. The meals were good but the downside was that it wasn't buffet service and it took quite a while to get served. The staff where friendly,... More

set up high on a hill this hotel gave a great view of the clyde we had to pay extra for this .the hotel needs up dating and a lick of paint here and there the tv in our room was old fashioned and on its last legs although the room was reasonably clean the bathroom had a terrible smell... More

The staff are stretch to thin, it would be nice to hear a Scottish voice in the workforce, the hotel is very tired in need of a uplift. Gardens are in need of attention. The entertainment was a psychic weekend and to b blunt i don't think she could have predicted her own birthday. We were promised a disco that... More

Just returned on 20.3.2013 from 5 day break with D. Urquhart (which turned out to be 4½ day). Don’t even consider room 10, it was freezing cold, as was the Entertainment & Dining Room. A request to Reception produced a convector heater for our bedroom, which we left on day and night. The Bathroom was a ’slit’. Squeeze round door... More
