myself and 2 friends are walking from lands end to john o'groats and we had a one night stay at The Pend. large rooms, lovely breakfast and a hot bath. next morning we set off on our long walk to the next destination. A car pulled up along side us and it was Peter from the guest house with my... More

Peter and the dogs were the perfect hosts. Breakfast was easily one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. A great selection of fruit, cereal and cooked food. Peter is a magnificent chief. From the moment we turned up to the moment we left Peter and the dogs gave us the right amount of hospitality and privacy to make... More

I was able to book online the night before my arrival. I am a frequent visitor to Scotland, sometimes at the last minute and not always sure which way my travels will take me. I often book a B n B because of the website and photos. The Pend and Peter did not disappoint. He was there to meet me... More

I did not actually stay at the premises, but judging by the response I got after cancelling my booking, I am glad I didn’t. I emailed to cancel my booking 11 days in advance of the date. Due to the terms and condition of the business that stated monies would be owed if cancellations were made less than 7 days... More

This reviewer booked his accommodation using my automated, secure, online booking system. He could have cancelled at any time using the same medium. Instead he chose to send a series of increasingly agitated, aggressive and offensive emails which I found on return from visiting my 3 week old grandson in the south of England. I replied to him within 2... More

We stayed over at The Pend for two nights with a group of 7 guys. We felt very welcome and respected as guests. Peter is an excellent host and provides clear information and recommendations for Dunkeld but also surroundings. The rooms are large with ample room to move around, furnished in appropriate classic furniture. Breakfast was fantastic, with all you... More

A warm welcome from Peter and the dogs greeted us upon arrival. Our room was large and came with a tea tray and a mini frig for the milk. Wonderful breakfasts and conversations. Best poached eggs I have ever had. Pillows to snuggle into. Highly recommend The Pend for any one travelling through Dunkeld.

I work as production manager for a TV travel program and found this B&B to introduce through our program last year, ever since we filmed the place I always had The Pend in mind since we had very nice time working at The Pend and the program ended up in receiving huge amount of good feed backs. I always wanted... More

My family and I stayed at The Pend and were very disappointed. After reading all the reviews it sounded like the place to be. However, things are obviously not as they once were. The B&B is up for sale, and it shows a distinct lack of interest by the owner. The important parts of the house were clean enough but... More

I would not normally respond to a review of this nature but have made an exception for 2 reasons. Firstly, I have an unsolicited review in my own Guest Book from the lady's husband which, although unusually written: "Yes! Yes! Thank You" indicates by any interpretation, a satisfied customer. Secondly, referring to the remarks directed at me, having witnessed her... More

We have just had a fantastic stay at The Pend. We liked it so much we tried to stay for an extra night but unfortunately Peter was fully booked. We'd wholeheartedly recommend a stay here and hope to go back in the future.

My husband and I have just had a fantastic weekend stay at The Pend where we were welcomed by Peter, Molly and Brydie. The rooms were spotless and nicely decorated, and the location is perfect for fantastic restaurants, STUNNING walks, a wonderful deli, and LOADS of activities. Peter was exceptionally helpful and kind: my husband and I tried to book... More
