Very friendly and helpful staff. I needed bus information to get to Chatsworth. The receptionist found the information and track me down to give me the bus routes. Another helpful receptionist checked us in and printed out boarding passes. The restaurant and bar were both very nice. The park, the tram and restaurants were all within walking distance.

good location, in lovely surroundings, rooms looking a bit tired. Very good breakfast, lovely main dining room. Wifi available which was useful. Parking just opposite. Noise insulation betwean rooms not good.

This fabulous hotel - reputedly the oldest in England - is full of character and, whilst the old building is getting tired, everything is top quality. Restaurant and bars great and accommodation (4-poster bedroom) terrific. Not cheap - BUT - well worth it!! Will visit again - and again!!

The hotel is steeped in history and therefore a little bit quirky. The rooms are all different so difficult to generalise but our room was nicely furnished with a good size bathroom but no bath only a large shower. It is always a pleasure to stay at The Old Hall. We love it so much that we have booked Christmas. It has a lovely welcoming atmosphere and you can come and go as you savour the delights of Buxton (and the theatre).
