Clean but basic, friendly staff and central location. Woken by street cleaning machine around 5 30am 5 45 6 00 etc Seagulls fill in the gaps! Yeovil is a beautiful town with some splendid churches(st john the baptist behind the Mermaid is a treasure) The Mermaid is not, but then it was £30!

We had a delicious meal today at the Mermaid, Lovely tender meat, help yourself veg and yummy gravy. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant, cosy but not a "sauna" as far as we were concerned. Staff very friendly and helpful, highly recommend . Can't wait to go back again.
