A good place to stay we got an upgrade. The breakfast was excellent and the staff helpful. Nice touches in the room like some local mineral water. The shower was a walk in.

An excellent hotel. Staff and management are friendly, helpful and efficient. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Good food. Reception and public areas are spacious and welcoming. The Stanwell House Hotel seems to have a really nice ambiance which is difficult to describe. The hotel is right in the centre of Lymington and there is private parking available.

Good location right on Lymington High Street and we really couldn't fault downstairs - a boutique hotel! Staff were friendly and check in/out smooth and pleasant. However, upstairs in our opinion left quite a bit to be desired (admittedly most of it down to taste!) The 2 bedrooms we had were spotlessly clean but decor and furniture wise - not...

I stayed here recently for a work event and could not fault it.
The function room is ideal for small corporate events (with the separate area for working and dining), well-lit, and great food too. I stayed in room 2, one of the newer suites, and I felt utterly spoilt, especially with the luxurious shower.
The location was also spot-on,...

I took my husband to Stanwell house to celebrate his 50th birthday. I booked a suite as it was a special occasion and was not disappointed. The room was a good size and we had a small sitting room area with sofa and tv. I found every member of staff to be welcoming and friendly, they made sure that you...

Good central location with parking is a bonus and another key factor for us is that they are dog friendly. I agree with other comments that the public areas are better than the bedrooms. We had a ground floor room with access to the court yard but it was on the small side and you could hear your neighbours. Our...

Nice town. Nice hotel but only nice not fabulous. Arrived Sunday. First smell was furniture polish. Furniture in central atrium upside down whilst being cleaned. We felt like we were interrupting. The restaurant was a good restaurant masquerading as an excellent restaurant and was priced above its league. The service was impersonal. The communication issue was regarding an item we...

My husband & I took my parents away to Stanwell House for their 1st trip away for over 2 years & it
was perfect. The rooms were beautifully maintained, the staff were very helpful & very caring. The selection at breakfast was plentiful with all the hot food being cooked to order. We ate 1 evening in the restaurant &...

We went to Stanwell House for our 1st anniversary. I read loads of reviews and this place seemed to be the best by far! We have stayed in loads of hotels so expectations based on the price were pretty high. The room was very small, we both stubbed toes and came out full of bruises just trying to get round...

We really enjoyed our Cream Tea in the conservatory. If you eat there you can bring a well behaved dog which suited us perfectly. The Cream Tea was excellent and enough for our evening meal with nice cakes, sandwiches and of course the scone, jam and cream, topped off with our choice of tea or coffee.
If you have a...
