Just returned from 1 weeks stay here, we stayed in a spacious cottage with our 2.5 year old. Great facilities but...outdoor pool was still being cleaned so not open (not good with little ones) indoor pool was nice but there seemed to be permanent swimming lessons on so had little space to explore plus no changing rooms just one big... We visited on a time share exchange and did not expect a great deal from this rather tired looking resort. We had wanted to visit various attractions in the New Forest so the location was more important than the actual resort. First impressions were that we were too young as we are only in our mid fifties! After being directed... More

Hotel layout was different with all the rooms being in chalets but all furnished to a high standard. View was disappointing but lovely quiet hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful although we thought the bar and food prices were on the expensive side. Hotel is within walking distance of Lymington Pier which is very handy for the ferry to Yarmouth... More

The ornately decorated house and large grounds are beautiful. With a well equipped sport and  spa centre.  The hotel portion, I believe, is somewhat of an after thought.  The rooms are set away from the amazing house and comprise of 30-40 chalet style maisonettes! They are set facing each other in a square formation, so there are no views to... More

After a disasterous night at the Ormonde House in Lyndhurst we had to find another hotel at very short notice. Luckily the Elmers Court came up trumps. The key difference - Service. We arrived at 8 am and were immediately given a room by a professional reception manager. The room was available immediately so we could leave our bags and... More

We stayed two nights at this hotel in order to explore Lymington, Christchurch and Poole and we really enjoyed the experience. Having the rooms set outside in the grounds is a bit strange, especially when it was raining but the benefit is very generously sized rooms which are nice and comfortable. The grounds of the hotel are really interesting and... More

The great food and leisure facilities were totally let down by the accommodation all being in the grounds of the hotel. We brought our 4 year old and were dismayed to find our room was in the grounds, out of site and out of baby-monitor range of the restaurant. There was no baby listening service offered, meaning we had to... More

Most of the rooms here are in separate 2 storey blocks around the grounds - a mixture of motel and time-share - so in early April, it was a cold and frosty journey from our upper floor room down slippery steps and across the grounds to the restaurant or breakfast room. Bedroom was spacious and well appointed - loads of... More

This is a mix of a hotel and time share resort, part of the MacDonald chain of hotels. The presence of the time share means that the range of additional facilities on offer is wider than a smallish hotel alone could probably offer (2 restaurants, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, gym etc.). Although I didn't eat in the Waterford (posh)... More

We stayed at Elmers Resort for three nights in rooms 24 and 24A around Easter 2012. These particular rooms, situated on the 1st floor accessible by stairs, were comfortable and the adjoining arrangement was very convenient as we had 83 year old granny staying in the adjoining room. During our stay the weather was cold. This was not a problem... More
