this is a very clean and very nice B&B. Near to center, with a great view over the habour. The houselady ist extremly kind and helpful. We had a very early ship back to Scrabster, and we got a "breakfast-pack" from her prepared with fresh sliced fruits, sandwich and joghurt. We recommend this B&B. thanks for this nice stay.

Best B&B ever stayed in. Location just 5 minutes from the centre of Kirkwall. Views over the harbour from the guest lounge amazing. Breakfast choice & quality of food outstanding. Rooms spotless. Carolyn friendly & helpful made us feel really at home. Highly recommended.

Initially had planned to stay in hotel, but all were a bit expensive, so opted for this B&B - so glad we did. Caroline was kindness personified - nothing too much trouble. Warm and friendly, Carolyn was the perfect host, nothing too much trouble. Excellent room and fantastic shower. Outstanding views whilst having huge breakfast in the breakfast room. Hope to be back at a later date.

What a find. A fantastic position. It was great to wake up and open the curtains to see all the activity in Kirkwall harbour. Then continue watching whilst eating a wonderful breakfast in the breakfast room. So pleased to be within a short walk to restaurants for the evening. Carolyn was very helpful and very welcoming.

Quiet location within walking distance to town with parking. Great views. OK bed. Bathroom fine. Nice cookies :-) Great, even overwhelming breakfast. Helpful host goes beyond call of duty. Needs blackout curtains.

Warmth and friendliness with a better than first rate breakfast with a better and more varied menu than in most grand hotels and the best shower I've ever used anywhere. Only problem was that the blinds and curtains did not cope with the short nights. I'd suggest blackout blinds to solve the problem.

Great location, not far from the heart of things but not too far, splendid views at breakfast (which was also first class). Carolyn was more than helpful and welcoming, and her home was cosy and clean. What more could you ask for?
