Only one word required, EXCELLENT. We stayed for 6 nights and 6 wonderful breakfasts. John and Shirley couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Located in a quiet cul-de-sac a mere 5 minute walk from the centre of Kirkwall. Will certainly stay there again.

John and Shirley were lovely people and warmly welcomed our family to Orkney. We had a wonderful 3 day stay at their home. The rooms were lovely and spotlessly clean and breakfast was sensational! Would highly recommend Ardvullen to anyone travelling to Orkney.

John and Shirley were the perfect hosts, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and what a selection! Everywhere was clean and nicely kept and the bathroom had all the finishing touches that you could think of. Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting to stay there.

We loved our stay at Ardvullen. It was spotless, roomy, and very convenient to central Kirkwall. Even the (7 minute) walk to the ferry and restaurants was pleasant with a great view of the harbor.
