We spent the night at the Windlestrae Hotel, Kinross, Scotland, to celebrate a special birthday. All the staff were helpful and friendly, from the receptionist, to the restaurant staff and the staff of the health club. The rooms were clean and comfortable although looking a little tired and our room did not have a great view. We enjoyed our meal... More

This was good value on a two night special offer deal including 2 spa treatments and a bottle of wine. The wine was delivered within a few minutes of my arrival! The hotel is a bit dated but I belive is soon to be refurbished. It was however clean and well appointed with comfortable beds but does not compare favourably... More

Stayed on special deal including breakfast a bottle of wine in the room. Normally stay at the sister hotel the Green hotel which is fab. Room view was onto a tin room over the event centre. Not an hotel with good views even if you have rooms across the corridor. Receptionist very friendly and pleasant when booked in though on... More

Just back from an itson offer at the Windelstrae £65 for bed and breakfast 2 spa treatments and a free bottle of wine - no complaints about anything (apart from having to ask twice when the wine was arriving - other guests were also chasing the wine, eventually went to the bar and got it myself at 9.00 p.m. -... The trouble with this place is the image it displays. It's outdated carpets provide.A backdrop to a neglected hotel. From the outside it looks ok but the rooms and public areas are very outdated. The restaurant is nothing more than terrible. I must say this place gets the award for the worst pizza ever. More

Having been evacuated from our house because of a horrific road accident my family and I spent seven weeks at the Windlestrae. I have nothing but praise for the staff who all went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. The rooms are being refurbished at the moment and all I can say is WOW! More
