food not too great for breakfast on the saturday but v.good on the sunday. Ate out for dinner and tea in excellent pubs (too numerous to memtion) lovely area, loads to see in the forest and on the moors. excellent antique shops nearby.

This is a welcoming countryside inn. Most attentive staff, very good food, nice decor, very comfortable bedrooms with attention to detail. They have a large range of wines, beers & spirits. They have a little shop selling local produce. It is very good value for money. We will certainly be returning.

Stopped here for a Sunday lunchtime meal on 17/3/13 on our way to Bournemouth. Food was just fabulous and service just great. Delightful scallop starters and skate main courses, chocolate brownie sundae desserts. Just delicious. Not inexpensive but worth every penny, and certainly very popular so probably best to book ahead (which we did).
