Lovely little B & B. Despite us arriving late in the evening Mrs Scrope was ready to greet us with a warm log fire and a glass of wine! Lovely clean comfortable room and our own bathroon right next door. Delicious breakfast with lost of choice and fruit direct from the garden! We only had a short stay so didn't... More

Charming place to spend some time relaxing. The owner Ginny is very welcoming as are her dogs and bird! Clean rooms, nice breakfast, looking out over a thatched cottage in a small village/hamlet. Child friendly and very relaxing.

Mrs. Scrope is an incredibly gracious hostess. She fixed us hot chocolate (offered tea, of course) and cake right after we arrived, and stoked up a fire in the fireplace while we received love and attention from her two adorable labradors. We had a delightful conversation together in the evening about travel and life and the world, and she made... More

Another stay at Glebe House and, as ever, a warm welcome with a much needed cup of tea and cake. A delightful and hugely comfortable bed room and, outside, the well tended gardens in this quiet but accesible Wiltshire haven. Clear directions are provided so its easy to find.

We had a one night stay here after attending an event at RAF Fairford last year as we planned to meet up with friends in Bath the next day. Ginny was a fantastic host, greeting us with delicious home-made fruit cake and tea and giving us some tips for good places to have dinner nearby. Glebe House is tucked away... More

We had a wonderful two night stay with Ginny at Glebe House. Warm welcome with yummy dinner on arrival, gorgeous beds and bed linen and fantastic breakfasts made with local goodies. Ginny is a fantastic hostess, full of interesting stories (she should really write a book!). We all felt so comfortable, Ginny minded our 5 month old son while we... More

We loved our one night stay at Glebe House. Ginny welcomed us to her lovely home with tea and cake. We met her well behaved dogs and chatty parrot. We went off to a friend's party nearby and let ourselves in to the house in the wee small hours. Our room was on the ground floor so we did not... More

We just spent 3 great nights at the Glebe House a couple of weeks ago, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for cozy comfort, sumptious food, great conversation and relaxation. Ginny, the Proprietor, could not be more welcoming and accomodating. She is one of THE truly sweet people in this world, and we left feeling we were friends... More

My son and I were looking for a B & B to stay at during our annual bike holiday. We stayed at Glebe House and we were very impressed. Away from the main road (another bonus for cyclists) but easily accessible from either the quiet lane or off-road through tracks in the woods. Local pubs are within walking or cycling... More

We enjoyed a three night stay in Glebe House. The days began with an excellent breakfast (locally sourced food) and afternoon tea with home-made cake after a full day's walking. The walking around here is superb - lots of well signposted tracks and paths. The area is lovely and quiet and easy to get "away from it all", but easily... More

Glebe House is quintessentially, with a touch of the exotic, an award winning small country house B & B set in one of Wiltshire’s hidden gems. With a 4 Star Silver award (2013) and the Green Business Tourism Silver Award you are assured of quality and a high standard. The house is set in a mature garden, with off street parking. It is truly a tranquil and quiet place to stay. Our song birds and the wild life here are a rare treasure. All the rooms are furnished with comfortable beds made up with beautiful white, crisp bed linen and unique quilts from India and Portugal and have tea and coffee making facilities. The bathrooms have complimentary soaps and shower gels and large towels. We accept well behaved children and have a cot with linen and high chairs. You can sink into a comfortable sofa by the log fire and watch TV or a DVD or simply read the copious number of books .Your breakfast and dinner are sourced as locally as possible from our local butcher and farm shop. In summer we use what we grow in the garden in the kitchen and serve at meals. Rhubbarb is a great favourite. We make our own marmalades and jams. From Chittoe we are well placed to visit three world Heritage sites, Avebury, Bath and Stonehenge and then there are the delightful villages of Lacock and Castle Combe. We are currently working on walking and cycling tours from the house and pack lunches can be provided. There are National Trust properties, gardens galore, historical houses and cathedrals to visit. We can help with your itinerary. There is Wifi here so if you need to keep in touch with the outside world or your business you can with ease.Paws for Thought – we do like to welcome good dogs. ... more   less
