The family had a lovely Easter break at Douneside despite record breaking cold weather. Lots of snow around but none on the roads, just fantastic views all around and the perfect excuse to stay in enjoying the wonderful hospitality.

Douneside House is owned by The MacRobert Trust and is situated 30 miles west of Aberdeen in Royal Deeside, Scotland. It has 15 acres of magnificent gardens and grounds with spectacular views over the Howe of Cromar to the Grampian Mountains. From May until mid-October (and at Christmas and Easter) it is a holiday country house for serving and retired commissioned officers of the British Armed Services and any allies (NATO, Commonwealth countries). For the remainder of the year, it serves as a conference centre for businesses and other organisations.
