We had previously stayed with Graeme and Barbara when they had their beautiful B and B at Eastbourne and so were expecting the very highest standard. We were not disappointed. A warm welcome, immaculate characterful house, luxurious bedroom and delicious breakfasts. Because guests were vacating on one of the days we stayed we were able to view all three bedrooms... More

First impressions of the Old Rectory in Weymouth were excellent - a lovely house very close to the Sea Front, 10 minutes walk from town, providing a large and well appointed bedroom with en suite and balcony and hospitable owners. The toiletries provided were plentiful and of good quality. The bed well presented and comfortable. So what more could we... More

Hi Paul Regarding your review, I must say we were extremely disappointed to read some of your comments, as it is the first review received with negative remarks since we opened our home as a bed and breakfast in April 2012. I will respond accordingly. Regarding ordering your breakfast the day before, Barbara does this for a good reason. She... More

We have just returned from a weekend visiting the sights of Dorset, with The Old Rectory as our base. We were delighted with our room 'The Dorchester' which was beautifully furnished, more like a 5* Hotel, very spacious and spotlessly clean and warm. Barbara and Graeme looked after us really well and suggested places to visit and restaurants for the... More

My grandma and I stayed in this lovely B&B. I absolutely adored this serene location! The twin bedroom we stayed in was so classy and clean!IIt was extremely tasteful and beautifully decorated! Barabara and Graeme were the most welcoming people. I was really happy because we were offered home-made chocolate cake, which had just come out the oven! I also... More

Tea and home made cake on arrival, fantastic breakfast and friendly/welcoming people. Beautiful room. Great location. Unfortunately we were unable to get any hot water for a shower/bath when we arrived which was diaappointing. We found out that other guests had used all the hot water as they had done a marathon. The owners apologised profusely but we felt this... More

Hi Ryan & Sarah, many thanks for your review, they are always much appreciated. It was unfortunate about the hot water situation, but as you were aware we had a group of people arrive back at the house after take part in the Endurance Life marathon at Lulworth Cove, covered in mud at 4.30 and they immediately started running hot... Having stayed with the owners at their previous B&B in Eastbourne, we thought we would see what their new place in Weymouth was like. We were not disappointed! Once again, you are made to feel at home as soon as you arrive. The Old Rectory is a real find, just yards from the sea and well placed for restaurants and... More

Graeme and Barbara make you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door, offering afternoon tea and homemade chocolate cake. It hit the spot on a wet and windy afternoon and was a really nice touch! The room we stayed in was divine, with its own balcony, from where you could see the sea, with a roll... More

This is a beautifully restored Art Nouveau style house which has been tastefully and sympathetically furnished by the owners, Barbara and Graeme. We stayed here on our wedding night and were given the warmest welcome. The room had been decorated with fresh flowers and was just fabulous - sea view, balcony, crystal chandelier, sumptuous fabrics and a huge ensuite bathroom... More

We stayed here for 3 nights for a short getaway. Graham and Barbara were perfect hosts, making us tea on arrival and ensuring we were settled into our lovely room (the chenille beach). What a beautiful B&B, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the room was stunning, the bathroom gorgeous, When we arrived a very smiley and friendly Barbara greeted us and showed us to our room.
