Day 9 of my Trip around Britain Takes me to Weymouth Arrived at 2.30 pm could not find anywhere to park. There was a Blood Transfusion thing going on so parked down the street and walked back. Pleasant hotel front. Lots going on. Given room which was like a cupboard that had been converted. Needed light on at 3pm to... More

Having read some very impressive reviews of this hotel, I have to say my experience was a most disappointing one. My wife and I arrived fairly late evening on a Sunday, having booked a double room with breakfast via the internet earlier in the week. Normally, a hotel will take a reading of your credit card and you pay the... More

We are also disappointed by this review, particularly as some of the comments made do not quite reflect reality! Payment is taken on arrival as is done in most hotels these days! This is explained and confirmed in advance. Most businesses, products and services request payment in advance these days. We took the trouble to check our CCTV and the... More

Rembrandt was selected for me as it was hosting the British International Amateur Film Festival (BIAFF). Due to my error I arrived a day late but reception staff changed rooms round to accomodate me for an extra day. Room was excellent and scrupulously cleaned every day. The choice and quality of menu at all meal times excellent with helpful serving... More

I stayed at the Rembrandt last year during a sailing event and enjoyed a lovely stay. At check in and throughout our stay the staff were approachable and friendly. The room - although a bit dated - was very clean and well appointed considering the hotel's star rating. The selection of food at breakfast was very good and the evening... More

After walking out of an utterly shocking B&B at 10pm at night on the Easter weekend, my partner and I needed somewhere to stay for the night. We spoke to Jennifer on Reception who was very accommodating and only too happy to help. We were offered help with our bags from Gaz, who we encountered on several occasions over our... More

Ive just spent a night at the Rembradt and was very impressed, i didnt have time to try the pool or spa but will do next time i stay, the place was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfy, breakfast was unlimited and the staff were friendly and very helpfully. There is ample car parking on site and the area is... More

My wife and I had stayed here before about 4 years ago and our experience was, on the whole, a good one. We have also stayed at the Premier Inn and that was good also. When we checked in we were asked if we needed a hand with our luggage which we declined. What wasn't explained was that the room... More

I understand how the disappointment of not being able to use the gym, may have triggered this somewhat negative review. Please note the following: 1) part of the hotel is made up by a small number of houses/buildings which over the years were joined up to make up the current hotel. There are 4 (four) rooms located on the second... More

Had a very enjoyable weekend at the hotel. All the staff were very polite and friendly. The hotel itself was spotlessly clean - the room and the public areas. We had dinner in the hotel both nights and was disappointed to be told on the first night that there was no rib eye steak nor duck. I had planned to... More

Have stayed at the Rembrandt several times over the past 5 years. Although on this occassion I have found that it has up-stepped it's mark, especially in the restaurant. The choice overall for breakfast is outstanding. I never eat breakfast at home but somehow managed to have a three course here. Brilliant variety and choice of food. I ate in... More
