This was our third weekend stay over the last two years. Hotel staff are excellent from front of house etc, to cleaners, the food is really first class without being over the top. Saturday nights in the restaurant they have a singer with keyboard, this chap is really good, and the volume is spot on,we've sat ten feet away, and enjoyed his... More

Another fantastic four day break at one of our favourite 'Brend' Hotels. We were able to stay in Room 205, our choice. Which looks out over the River at the front of the Hotel. The overall quality of the Staff, at Reception, Dinning and Bar area's, never seems to change, led I'm sure by the Management. The Hotel alway's seems fully... More

Just back from a surprise one night ' birthday surprise' visit. We have stayed here on several occasions over the years but not in recent times.I have to say that if anything has changed then it is for the better, other than the fact that Helen Challacombe is no longer the manager, she was brilliant. In common with every Brend hotel we have... We have just got back to reality after spending three nights. Food is exceptional, service is second to none. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only downside is that the bathroom needed updating for a luxury room it was a bit tired. This is our third visit, looking forward to our next already. More

We've just stayed at the Imperial for 3 nights for a family wedding and all I can say is that they made this extra special for everyone. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they go out of their way to ensure you're all ok. This hotel is marketed and presented for the elder category however my daughter... More

I stayed here for one night on a business trip. The location of the hotel is good but the hotel itself is a bit dated, both in decor and staff attitude. Don't get me wrong, all the staff were pleasant and polite, it just seemed that the hotel was stuck in a bit of a time warp and didn’t really... More

I only live about 15 miles away from this hotel but have stayed for a new years eve for 2 nights in 2007, we had a standard room which was clean and well decorated, food was great staff were helpful and we really enjoyed the whole thing. Over the past 3 years we have always gone to the hotel for... More

I am usually a fan of the Brend Hotels and the Imperial does have all the good features of the chain especially the usual service. The staff cannot do enough for you. However, beware in this particular hotel of accepting an "Imperial" room. The one which we had, and others which I saw, are small and dark with very limited... More
