I stayed here with my partner for few days end of april. The welcome was lovely and you are made to feel at home. Our room was lovely with a good size shower room/ The room was nicely decorated and had nice little extra touches. It is in a great location, just five minute walk from the bus station and... More

We stayed at Hazlewood the first week of the Easter Holidays and loved it. The rooms have magnificent high ceilings and are all uniquely decorated, clean and roomy. ( the en suite was a bit small but the shower offered lashings of hot water which made up for it). We had a very warm but un imposing welcome and enjoyed... More

We stayed here over August Bank Holiday weekend. Room was spacious overlooking rear garden. Breakfast was average compared to many places we have stayed in. Interesting decor in Lounge and Breakfast Room. Safe parking in the road outside. More

We've been staying at The Hazelwood for a couple of years now and we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. Phil and Karl are so friendly and welcoming and have a very good knowledge of the island if you're new to visiting The Isle of Wight. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and the showers have instant hot water. The... More

Stayed for a couple of nights with our 92 year old father who was most taken with the lovely atmosphere and quality of the accomodation. Phil is front of house and Karl's professional artwork adds quality to the ambiance of the house. It is really clean and fresh, with high ceilings adding to the feeling of space. Although our bathroom... More

I stayed at the Hazelwood hotel with my partner for 3 days in July and it was one of the best hotels i've stayed in! The owners were friendly, happy and keep the place up to a very high standard. Our room was quite big with a very nice small bathroom. The beds were exceedingly comfortable and when we got... More

Recently stayed for three nights at this Victorian villa which is filled with art that has been created (and indeed collected) by one of the owners. We booked a double room and were given a triple which meant that we had a small suite of rooms, one of which we used as a day room! Comfortable surroundings and friendly owners... More

The "Hazelwood" is a very neat double fronted house in Shanklin, It is spotlessly clean........and I mean spotless. The full English breakfast is everything you would expect......perfect. The two lads who run it are Phil and Carl and are very helpfull and polite. You will need a good hanbrake if you park on their driveway ! We would not think... More

I'm writing this review months after my original stay because I was thinking of booking again and I noticed that it now has a tripadvisor listing. The Hazelwood is a short walk from Shanklin station, and also convenient for the lovely sandy beach and cliff-top path. It's a bit further to the main shopping / pubs / restaurants in Shanklin,...
