I was in need of an over night stop as I was skiing at Glenshee. I was with my 7 year old son and to say that hospitality was great was an understatement. Fantastic breakfast which set us up nicely for another days skiing. I would certainly return and stay here again. Out of 10 I would score 11.

Many thanks for your kind comments. You'll be very welcome again on your next visit and, by the way, the skiing here is still excellent with some fresh snow again today! More

My second stay in 6 months in this wonderful lodge and my wife's first, and, once again, Joyce and Mike proved to be the most hospitable of hosts. We stayed in the pink room for three nights and were reluctant to leave. Returning after lengthy tramps through the snow covered glens was like returning home, such was the welcome. We'll... More

We're delighted that you both enjoyed your stay here, and many thanks for your kind remarks. An excellent photo too, of the evening sun on a snowy Mount Blair. We look forward to your next visit when hopefully you won't need the snow shoes to enjoy some more local walks! More

We would absolutely recommend this B&B for a one night stopover (we were travelling from Bettyhill to Cheshire) or as a base for several nights. We cannot fault it. We had both rooms, which were cosy, well equipped and very homely. We were all made to feel extremely welcome. Joyce and Mike could not have been better hosts, giving us... More

What a warm welcome we got in this guesthouse with Mike and Joyce Purdie. We had a comfortable room with a nice view. Mike brought us and picked us up at the Spittal of Glenshee Hotel for our evening-meal. We had great conversations with Mike and Joyce and we were sorry to leave after just 1 night. Too bad we... One night was not enough in this fabulous lodge and its magnificent setting. Joyce and Mike made me feel instantly at home and I felt like a true house guest. Nothing was too much trouble and my room was perfect with superb view of the glen and an extremely comfortable bed. I look forward to returning for a longer stay.

We chose Dalhenzean Lodge for an overnight stop after reading the complimentary reviews and are happy to confirm that they do not exaggerate its charms. The house is full of character and everything about it says that Joyce and Mike love their home and are keen to share it with their guests. The accommodation cannot be faulted, and the views... More

We spent 2 nights here, on a trip to the area to see the snow. We had a wonderful stay. Mike and Joyce were excellent hosts. The room (Pink Room) was great - we slept very well. Hearty breakfast. Although we do not ski, they are perfectly situated for Glenshee ski resort, as well as for the surrounding area. Would... More

My wife and I stayed at the Dalhenzean Lodge in September and would recommend it most highly. Joyce and Mike are wonderful hosts and truly welcome you into their home. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped, and breakfast was a treat. If you'd like to stay in the Scottish Countryside for a night or two and enjoy some... More
