Great location for Stirling Castle - and within walking distance from town/bars/restaurants. I didnt manage to eat at the hotel but those who did would recommend it. Bar staff attentive and went the extra mile to serve different cocktails! Check out was slow and rooms are rather average More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in October 2011 for a long weekend. We got a great deal through Living Social. I cant tell you what a great time we had. We drove down from Aberdeen, parked the car in their own car parking area and left it there. The hotel was set just below Stirling Castle a... More

The visit was for a quick business stop over and it turned out to be a sheer delight. The reason was because the food in the restaurant was wonderful, small in quantity, so not for those who like hearty nosh, but delicate, devine and I felt like Prue Leith tasting the delights of culinary expertise. This is an excellent hotel. The food is good (If a little "Cheffy") and needs a few more carbohydrates.(i.e. vegetables). Also, although kippers are on the breakfast menu, they were not available on the two mornings we were there. No point in having them on the menu if they are not forthcoming. The staff were excellent, pleasant, welcoming and eager... More

I booked a spa day with treatments for me, my mum and daughter through groupon. Turned up today for what was meant to be a relaxing day for all three of us and they had not booked us in!! They eventually found our names written on what looked like a paper log in book but no-one had actually booked us... More

The hotel is very basic. The windows are single glazed and the walls thin so I was interrupted by lots of noise in the corridors and outside. The room was adequate and basic however not the cleanest room that I have stayed in. The hotel had recently had a roof collapse and there was a smell in the hotel. More

This was a very enjoyable experience. Went to the hotel on Wednesday 9th May for a Spa Day with a friend using a Groupon voucher. Daniel at Spa Reception was helpful and friendly. The Beauty Therapists Terry and Laura were excellent and the treatments left you relaxed and feeling great. The afternoon tea was a lovely way to finish off.... More

Really nice hotel with great food and a good spa/gym. Only a short walk down the hill into town or a few strides up to the castle. More

Fantastic location just down from the castle - its own free car park and a leisure centre what more could you want? The bar is Ok but not much choice in draught beers and the breakfasts are excellent if you order the specials (smoked haddock and poached eggs or cheese dish etc) and the fried items are OK but nothing...
