Stayed here for 4 nights with my 75 year old dad . Paul and his staff were welcoming , warmhearted and genial hosts. Ok it is not the height of sophistication so don't go looking for power showers , posh decor etc, You will however be guaranteed fantastic location , hearty breakfasts and the warmest of welcomes. Thanks again folks... More

As a frequent traveller around the world, I've experienced some jaw dropping moments of sublime and ridiculous customer care. This ranks right up there at number one in the latter category. Prior to most check-ins you are met with "hello, good evening and welcome" but when we checked in to 'The Royal' it was a rather chilling " I'm the... More

This particular booking had been for 4 double rooms. When the group of 7 middle-aged males arrived the manager politely enquired if the booking was to be for double or twin-bedded rooms. It was then revealed to her that this was a stag party and that twin bedded rooms were required. While amending the booking there was gentle banter between... More

Recently had a stag night in the Windsor, the bar staff were very friendly and accommodating. However the manageress had a chip on each shoulder, threatening us with removal from the premises before she even admitted us in to the establishment. The Windsor is in need a major makeover, it was somewhere to put your head if you had nowhere... More

Stayed here for 1 nite and found nothing to complain about. We were made feel really welcome right from the start. Room was really big with a lovely comfy sofa as well as the double bed. Beautiful views across the marina. The place could do with a lick of paint but that didnt bother us. Big bottle of wine £7.95... More

The hotel is dated, the room was ok. The staff were very good and the food was good, but bit pricey for what was on offer. If your looking for a cheap, fun weekend this is the place, but dont expect to much.

Myself and my boyfriend went for a two night break to the royal/Windsor in July. At only 50 per person for 2 nights we had expected it to be quite basic but when we arrived we were qute pleasantly suprised. We were led to our room and helped with our bags, and the room, although dated, was comfortable, spacious and... More

I am pleased to announce that our passenger lift is re-instated giving access to all bedroom floors. Breakfast, while still a hot and cold self -service buffet, has been improved. We continue to give excellent value for money. More
