We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was a deluxe room (as all other rooms were fully booked)and was very spacious and very clean. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful as were the the bar staff and the waitress's at breakfast! The price of our room (120.00) was slightly dear however it did include breakfast! Would def stay here... More

We had our wedding at the Tor-na-Coille and it couldn't have gone better. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly in the build up to, and during, the wedding day. The food was of an excellent standard; several people commented on how good it was considering the large number of guests (60+). My husband and I are both local... More

The hotel is set back from the road on the outskirts of Banchory, a town which now has the feel of a suburb of Aberdeen. Check-in was quick, using the details supplied to Booking.com rather than my filling a form under the Immigration Rules 1973. The public rooms were agreeable. My corner room was well-lit by natural and electric light,... More

My Mum was staying with us in Banchory and invited us out for dinner locally , we picked the Tor na Coille. I like to call it a Victorian Boutique Hotel. The Building is beautiful the refurbishement The Bar and Lounge area are decorated to a very high standard and the Hotel has a very nice relaxed feel to it.... More

Stayed for three very enjoyable nights and would congratulate the hotel on its young staff. They were extremely helpful and made sure everything was done to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Well done. We ate in the restaurant on two nights and the bar on the third. Food was "modern British" using local produce and was of a... More

We stayed at this hotel by chance last week and were delighted by what we found, The hotel bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful, the staff friendly and professional and the food was lovely, Probably the hallways could do with some attention and new carpet but the owners are making good headway with their refurbs! It was totally delightful from the... More

I had a good stay here. Although I was travelling on my own for business, I was given a huge twin room, with lovely furniture and finishes. The grandeur is a little faded, but not at the expense of basic standards of cleanliness and quality. Breakfast was superb, with stunning, homemade tattie scone - quite simply the best I've ever... My husband and I were driving across Scotland over the 2011/2012 holidays and happened to come upon this gem. The hotel's courteous staff placed us in an a very comfortable, immaculately clean room prior to our delicious dinner in the restaurant. Prior to dinner, we relaxed in the cozy drawing room near the fire place and sipped our drinks. The... More

We were only here one night. We left Pitlochery and visited Glamis Castle and Dunnotar, then stayed overnight and went to Crathes Castle (5 minutes away) when they opened in the morning, and on to Craigevar Castle. We had great email correspondence with Lynne when making reservations, and Phillip and the staff were all very welcoming and warm when we... More

Last night was my second stay at this excellent hotel. It offers first class service by very attentive staff. As before the evening meal was most enjoyable with the accompaning wine being sensibly priced. On this occasion I had a refurbished room, again it hit the spot. Being on business I will be a frequent guest at this hotel as... More
