As a party of eight, we tried the Sunday Driver deal, which includes a round of golf on Sunday, dinner, bed and breakfast, then another round of golf on Monday morning. The hotel and rooms are wonderful - modern, stylish and with uninterrupted views over the gardens/golf course. We were supposed to eat dinner in the Clubhouse, but were transferred... More

I treated my parents, sister and myself to a 2 night 3 day stay this week. From the minute we arrived to the moment of departure, we were treated like royalty. I had 10 members of my family to dinner one of the nights and they were also treated incredibly well. The staff are always smiling, happy to see you,... More

I stayed at the hotel for two nights Fri & Sat as a party of four. We all had a full spa day booked with additional treatments on Saturday and dinner two nights, one in the brassiere, one in the Orangery. I stayed here during the original "soft opening" and was then very impressed So I was intrigued to see... More

Delightful hotel in pretty grounds. High quality food and very well presented rooms of high standard. I ate dinner in the club house which was a more informal setting but good standard of food. Breakfast was very good! Staff are aways polite, kind and friendly - yet perhaps slightly less polished than other hotels of this quality - perhaps not... More

A superb hotel/spa attention to detail was breath taking. The food in all locations was simply breath taking. What really made it for us was the fact that for once in my life somewhere and someone really tried to tell you what was/is great from the north east and it was quite simply superb

Along with friends we stayed at Rockcliffe on Saturday 4th May. One thing we were hopeful about was that the service in the Orangery would have improved back to the fantastic level that we have been used to in the past (but unfortunately didn’t get when we last stayed in February) The first thing I found a little annoying was... The wife booked this hotel and spa break as a birthday treat. We have stayed at Seaham hall a few times but chose to try here as it was slightly cheaper and I was keen to try the restaurant. It's beautifully presented and the service is excellent. The room was fantastic probably the nicest room I've stayed in. I thoroughly... More

Stayed over for 1 night in December. Went to the organised entertainment evening. Met at the doors by a porter who parks up the car while you are signing in. He also collects your luggage from the car and then brings it to your room. Service is excellent. The meal in the evening was not much to write home about... More

Cannot fault Rockliffe Hall - we just keep coming back. The staff are exceptional. Food in The Orangery and The Brasserie is superb. It has the best spa around and the accommodation is first class. What more can I say. Just go - you won't be disappointed.
