Chateau de Pintray was a great base to stay for exploring the Chateau region. The chateau is obviously quite old and rustic, however very charming. Our room on the 2nd floor was spotlessly clean and very quiet. Anne was an excellent host, making us very welcome and offering information on the area, restaurant recommendations etc. Breakfast was lovely and the... More

This was the perfect place from which to tour the chateaux region. We were traveling with our 21 yr old son and booked a Family Suite on their 2nd floor. Two large rooms with beautiful views of the property and a spacious bathroom plus another separate toilet. We were warmly greeted by young Anne who speaks decent English. We enjoyed... More

Travelling with a 14 month old is sometimes challenging but staying at the Pintray was a relaxing vacation for the babe and the parents. We stayed in the large ground flooor (rez-de-chaussée) room which had private access to the garden through a second small room connected to the very large bedroom. Having a separate room for the kid to sleep... More

Chateau de Pintray is a cross between a farm and a small chateau, perhaps manor house would be a more correct term. The country location was blissfully quiet and the vineyards are picturesque. Restaurants in Amboise where less than a ten minute drive and the main Loire River road was only five minutes away. Ann, our hostess (speaks English well),... More

We stayed for 2 nights and loved it. Rooms are spacious and guests have access to a large part of the historical chateau. Grounds and vineyards provide ample outdoor space to stroll, and a welcome break from the frenetic touristy spots all around. The Chateau is within a short drive to several chateaus ( Chenonceau, Amboise, Chaumont sur la Loire... More

A perfect stay amongst the vineyards of Jean-Christophe. Very welcoming and charming couple who run the chateau as well as making the beautiful wine that you can sample and buy at very affordable prices. We stayed in a large double room overlooking the original driveway to the chateau and loved the eccentricities of this place. Breakfast was good, croissants, brioche,... More

We stayed at Chateau de Pintray for 3 nights and it was a fantastic place! The beds were dangerously comfortable (you want to stay in bed longer and longer!) and our suite was very spacious. Breakfast was always a treat and our host, Ann, was extremely charming! We had so many fun conversations about France, its culture, history and she... More

Chateau de Pintray is a beautiful old chateau turned into a bed and breakfast and winery. Anna and Christian your hosts couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated and the largest of our trip in France. The grounds which you can roam freely are gorgeous and it is quiet. Make sure to schedule a wine tasting... More

This was a small hotel/b&b about 5 minutes from Amboise. Charming old home in the countryside. The rooms were large, bed's comfortable and bathrooms (some more updated than others). There was a nice sittingroom with fridge to use, either to keep your lunch, wine or whatever cold. We used it to cool our wine for an apperitif before going out... More

This is a very cute, historical Chateau to stay with family or friends. We went there with 2 families biking at the Loire river and enjoyed the lovely house, people and wine very much. It´s only 5km to Amboise and 20km to Tours. Very nice people who are eager to offer you a very pleasant stay. All of our group... More
