Like the other reviews, I have only great things to say about the hotel staff, the quality and cleanliness of the hotel. Getting to the hotel can be tricky because of it's somewhat hidden location, but the hotel has signs posted from the main road to help guide you. Once off the main road, drive carefully as the side roads... More

We only stayed one night but wished we had time for another one or two days. Our room (209) had a small balcony with a lovely view of the temples. Beautiful gardens and good breakfast out doors. Dinner at the sister hotel Baglio della Luna was superb. The staff was very helpful. The only problem we had was finding the... More

My wife and I stayed for four nights at the hotel and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is nicely situated between Angrigento and the sea. The service is excellent, very friendly and polite. We had half board and dined at the sister restaurant Bella di Luna. The food was great, but the menu somewhat limited so that we would... More

It was hard to get the balance right in Agrigento - we didn't want to be too far from the town, but we wanted to be able to walk to the beach. we NAILED it with this place - it's a classy, gorgeous hotel, about 20 minutes walk (or 15 if it's cool and you're not worried about breaking out... More

Our first clue should have been that there were no cars in the parking lot! The buliding and grounds are lovely and the staff was very nice. The air conditioning was out so they offered to move us to their "sister hotel" after they had served us a nice lunch evenhtough the dining room was closed. The rooms that we... More

We stayed at the Domus Aurea for one night and it was lovely. We were greeted by a very friendly front desk manager who escorted us to a junior suite with a balcony overlooking a vinyard and the Tempei. The view was just spectacular. We ordered a bottle of amazing wine and spend a few hours on the balcony just... More

I would not recommend staying at this hotel (more like a B&B really), particularly in the early season when nice little things like garden fountains are shut down. The place had a creepy vibe. The restaurant is not in the same building so we were driven there by a crazy-driving bellboy in his own beat-up car. Rooms were musty, not... More

I would like to thank our travel agent in Italy, Viviana Buscemi with Filovacanze Italy, who booked us the delightful Domus Aurea at short notice. The Domus Area has lovely rooms and interiors in the fine style of the Grand Tour, but still cozy and welcoming. The other best features are the balconies with spectacular views of the illuminated temples... More

Hotel is OK especially the superior rooms with view (distant) of Valle di Tempei. No traffic noise on this N side, but south side faces main road. Our room had only a hand shel hower which is inconvenient. Breakfast is not too bad, but dinner was utter rubbish. I have never before been asked to sign the bill for dinner... More

We booked 2 nights at this hotel as part of our honeymoon trip to Sicily. It's almost impossible to find - their website map bears no relation to the actual location and when you call, they found it hard to explain and not surprising! Its just feet from the main Agrigento - Sciacca road, but down a narrow lane alongside... More
