The staff at this hotel was particularly nice to us and being our first stop on a three week tour I welcomed that. We took tours every day, so being out of the center of town didn't bother us much. We were grateful for the pool and the views when we were in our room. The breakfast was pretty standard... More

Traveling with a tour company we had to stay here for one week. Avoid it if you can! Rooms are good size but our mattress had a small soil, the sheets were clean, but usually had small holes. The central AC was non existent, to get fresh cool air you have to open the terrace glass door, but then you... More

The Grand Hotel Ambasciatori is often used by tour companies (ours was Grand Circle) because of its central location for touring Tuscany. The hotel rooms are small which is common in Italy, but one should be aware that you might be stuck in a room overlooking a dumpster and porta potty. Ours was so far from the wireless access that... The rooms are miniscule & shabby. The front desk personnel arrogant and not helpful. The shower allows water to splash all over the floor. Single rooms are reminiscent of SINGLE dorm rooms at college 40 years ago...I could go on and on...just find a NICER place to stay...our tour company must be trying to save money. I would classify this... More

The Ambasciatori is a good standard 4* hotel. The staff are very friendly and unfailingly helpful. Food was very adequate is not spectacular and plenty of it. You don't get ripped off with expensive drinks, Most wines were around 12 euros and cocktails 4 euros. Breakfast was opened early at 0630 for my small aprty as we had a 7am... More

The rooms are quite small and could do with updating, however they are very clean and the food and service was very good. The hotel is close to shops and local buses to get you to the old town and beyond. More

We were with a tour group and our previous hotel accomodations were spacious. This was the smallest hotel room I've ever seen. You must be a very organized person to live here for seven days! It was not a pleasant experience. You could hear voices in the room next to you even though they weren't talking loudly. Our toilet was... More

This hotel is very good value, all staff very attentive, restaurant and food first class. Room very clean and well serviced. Swimming pool and aircon not in use in May. The hotel is well situated, not far from the main square but the location is quiet. Not many restaurants in the town but several bars close by. Enjoyed our stay... More

We stayed there as part of a touring group. Some people had to be moved to new rooms because of the ant infestation. Breakfasts are bare bones. Many of the rooms have a shower in a bathtub with no shower curtain, resulting in a huge soggy mess after every shower. Desk staff is not particularly helpful. Avoid if possible. More

It is a great hotel with a large swimmingpool on top of the roof. The service is great and the food is of a high quality in a lovely restaurant. The service is very good and friendly. The rooms are completely renovated (only a part of them) and are wonderfull with a great view More
