A perfect stay at a most welcoming hotel in Cortina! Thank you to the Menardi/Zanatta family for making us feel like family right away. The rooms were super comfy, the staff incredibly helpful and full of joy...it was always so comforting to come back home after a day of hiking. Bravi!!

We stayed 3 nights in this nice hotel and enjoyed our stay. Very traditional decor/furnishings. We originally asked for a room in the back to avoid the street noise but it was very small so we asked for a larger room. There was a triple available which we took, choosing more space over quiet. Other than the street noise, the room was great....big, clean, comfortable. Dining room was good....we ended up eating there every night. I loved the bar....old fashioned, traditional, interesting. And the barman was so friendly and upbeat. I'm sorry I didn't get his name but he was terrific. The hotel was expensive compared to other comparable or better hotels in the region but that's probably the case throughout Cortina d'Ampezzo. The grounds in the back were very nice. The jacuzzi wasn't working so we didn't use the spa.

We all felt really comfortable during our stay here. The food for dinner was spectacular and the breakfast couldn’t be any more fresh and healthy. The service is top tier and the spa was great for recovery after the long ski days. The rooms super clean and spacious plus the bathrooms recently renovated with all the nicest materials. Would highly recommend and definitely rebook.

Hotel Menardi is a lovely hotel not far but not too near Cortina downtown, the right distance for a nice walk (when here you should walk or bike not take the car to go downtown!). Positioned in the best part of the wonderful village, unique in the world, near to hundreds of beautiful hikes without having to always cross the downtown. Just below the breath taking Cristallo mountain. Restaurant and room service is very friendly and warm. Food is very good, perfect for us who do not like to eat too much and prefer quality to quantity, may be short of quantity for heavy eaters. People are very very nice and friendly both restaurant service and room service, also hall service full of suggestions for trekking. Check in service should be definitely improved. Our room was renovated and clean, very small, only the basic living space though not being the cheapest one. Rooms on the back are preferable in summer because less noisy but are more expensive and small. Massage and Spa service should be improved or not given at all. Price is aligned with area, probably the most expensive mountain area in Italy (I am writing in English but I am italian and I have been in most if not all the nice mountain places in Italy). But the beauty of the Dolomites deserves it. The comparison in price with nearby Alto Adige (Sud Tirol) is very negative for Cortina (30% more), but if you stay there you have to use the car much more to find nice trekking areas.

Beautiful hotel, very clean, accepts dogs. The staff was not super friendly and the check in was not welcoming (they didn’t even explain to us where the breakfast area was). It has a beautiful garden where you can enjoy the sun. Pretty close to the center of Cortina but we always took the car to go there. The room was clean and the bathroom was completely renovated and brand new. The only thing is that the rooms are not soundproof and you can hear everything form the rooms close to you.

We stayed here for one night before our hike in AV1 the next day. Location is good, a short distance from the town. Room was comfortable, and there was an elevator for higher floors. Breakfast spread was good. There was some green open space behind the hotel for chilling out. We had our dinner in the hotel as well. Food was good and the service was impeccable. All in all we had a very good stay in the hotel.

Loved our stay at Hotel Menardi. They are a wonderful family run hotel with an extremely helpful staff. In particular, we found that one of the uncles who worked in the evening had a wealth of information regarding hikes in the area. He spent a lot of time with us describing the hikes, making copies of detailed maps, telling us where to park/how to get to trailheads, etc. They were one of the only hotels which was willing to keep a duffle bag for us while we went hiking, and did not make a fuss about it at all. From an amenities standpoint, very clean and well appointed rooms, great breakfast spread, and a nice lawn that you can bring out drinks to. Close to town with parking onsite.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The owners are very gracious and were very helpful with travel tips and any other requests. The hotel is on a main road, but in the evenings you don’t hear noise. We had a room facing the back garden, which is so beautiful. Every day after touring the passes, we would return to the hotel, sit outside in the back yard and relax from the long drives along the winding roads. Our room was on the small side without a balcony, but it was clean, and the bed was large and extremely comfortable. I would have been happy with more storage space for our luggage, but this is a minor issue. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We had dinner one evening at the hotel, which was good, and on other evenings we tried various restaurants in the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It’s a little outside of cortina, but there is a lovely walking path behind the hotel that takes you into the center of town. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk into town. If I’m ever in cortina again, I would definitely stay here.

Friendly staff, great food and helpful when needed. 15 minute walk to the centre of town, and would need a car or catch a ski bus to get to the lifts. Our room for 3 (2 children, 1 adult) pwas compact but perfectly acceptable. Was very warm late into the evening so needed window open to cool down.
