Hotel Barsalini represents excellent value for money: it has charm, pleasant staff, excellent food, lovely facilities and is surprisingly affordable for such an idyllic location - on the edge of a small beach, at the foot of a lush, forested mountain. The scenery is beautiful: crystalline water, dramatic rock formations and countless remote coves and inlets to be explored by... More

It is a beautiful place to visit where you can find a real spirit of Italy. I have two years old daughter and the Barsallini hotel could offer her plenty attractions. You can find there a park with a playground and small zoo with animals such as parrots, rabbits, ducks and fish. Apart from that, there is a lovely sandy... More

The hotel is made by many buildings close to eachothers, on the side of a hill facing the sea. Common spaces between the buildings include pool, garden, relax area, lounge area. In every small corner all is perfect: clean, fresh, with a lot of plants and flowers. We chose a "Il cigno" room, with balcony facing the sea. The room... More

To be honest I’d never heard of Elba before I started searching on the internet for somewhere to go and just laze about on a beach for a few days after a stay in Rome but now I’ve been I’ll be recommending the island to everyone I know. That goes for Hotel Barsalini as well. As I say we just... More

I wanted to recommend this hotel, I really did! But the owner of this hotel actually *yelled* at me in both Italian and broken English b/c I had forgotten my luggage there ("abandoned it" as she said) and she threatened to leave it at some police station on this Island for me to 'go pick up' while I was standing,... Spent a long weekend here in mid-June. Excellant swimming/snorkeling weather. The hotel was friendly and charming--tiled floors, flowers everywhere. They put out a lovely antipasti spread with drinks on the terrace before dinner. Good local food in modest proportions. The beach just steps away was typically Italian with lounge chairs and umbrellas lined up for rent, and walks to rocky... More

The ambience in the general areas of the hotel was terrific ~ Daniel in the bar was excellent, a real treasure. The food in restaurant was (only just) OK. The rooms were a real disappointment, 70's furnishings, faded and mis matched, also garish dark green paint on walls ~ dreadful lights on wall over bed ~ like something out of... More

Dear clients, Thanks for your comment…. Our hotel was building 50 years ago from my father . Year after year, the hotel update a restyling, in the room and in the public area and always with a good quality price …and we think that we always must go in better.. Just for this, in one month, we begin the work-progress... More

Very disappointed by this hotel, as it really is not couple-friendly, despite their own advertisement as a relaxing and romantic location. The room was very noisy, right next to the pool. The beach is small, very crowded, lots of families with kids. For families this place might be right, but for younger couples, truly not the right place. Due to... More

Kind Sir, I do remember you, like I remember all ours clients. It’s right that in our hotel, because we are located near the beach at a few steps, sometimes you can find a lot of kids, but the hotel dispose a small -spa or well-being area in an open space garden with view over the Gulf of St Andrea,... We visited Elba on the final leg of our honeymoon touring around Tuscany. We wanted a quiet, relaxing place by the beach to take in the sun. Hotel Barsalini was definitely this. When we arrived the service was excellet and we were given a tour of the hotel. We were then taken to our room. We had one of the... More
