We had a great week staying there , although i was a bit worried after reading all the reports. However we had booked with the Great Railway Journeys and it was very good . The Hotel was clean , the staff very friendly and courteous, the food was good but it did lacked of fresh vegetables and they should have... More

Just come back from a week in this hotel. Firstly let me say that the staff were marvellous nothing was too much trouble, that said there wasn't a lot of positives. This hotel is tired, from the decor, carpets, room furniture, bathrooms. They all desparately need renovation to bring it up to the four star rating that it has. The... More

Very helpful reception staff and a perfectly good clean room. But we opted for demi-pension and the evening meal was of a very poor standard. Restaurant service was rushed and off-hand. The food was bland and poorly cooked - I have eaten much better school dinners. The whole eating experience reminded me of what I imagine holiday camps might have... More

We had a great week staying at this lovely hotel with our 8 year old son. The food, service and bar area were very much 4 star but the rooms would be considered more 3 star in the UK. They are however very clean and comfortable. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Montecatini Centro station where you... More

This could be a charming old world hotel. It has pink marble in the bathroom, high ceilings in the rooms and a grand staircase from the lobby--but--the showers are 28" x 29" OUTSIDE and there is no door or curtain. You can't help but get water all over the floor. The toilet did not flush well, the faucets were loose... More

This hotel is belle epoche style. It's got lovely exteriors. But the room (I stayed on 4th floor) was not a 4 star. I had a small shower - it didn't even have glass cubicle. The space was small. It was impossible to take a shower without touching the shower curtain. When I left the 'do not disturb sign' the... More

(I originally posted this review in the ABC Tours Super Tuscany forum on Dec 01, 2011, as Trip Advisor doesn't have a dedicated location for tours.) Just back from ABC's Cooking in Noble Tuscany tour. Based in Montecatini, we went out to numerous locations for 3 specific cooking classes, tours of 3 vineyards and 2 wine cellars, and visits to... From November 9-17, we were with a tour of 30-40 people - some from California and some from Virginia. The hotel must have read the negatie reviews, or we just got lucky. Check-in was a breeze. I had room 208 and my friend had room 212. Both rooms were spacious and clean. Some of the rooms on the front side... More

My husband and I participated in the Club ABC Noble Tuscan cooking tour during the week of Thanksgiving with Gianfranco as our guide, chef, mentor and new friend. Club ABC handled just about everything including air transportation, ground transfers to and from the airport as well as daily transportation to each new experience. Also included were hotel accommodations and most... More

I stayed for a week at the Grand Hotel Vittoria in mid-October with Great Rail Journeys’ ‘Highlights of Tuscany’ tour. Before I explain why I have rated this hotel as ‘Poor’, I should emphasise a couple of positives. This hotel is perfectly located for exploring the beautiful Tuscan countryside and many surrounding sights, either by car, coach or train. In... More
