Staying at Poggio Etrusco is like a home away from home. The apartments in the B&B are beautifully appointed with lovely furnishings and art by resident artist, Johnny Johns, Co-owner with his wife and gourmet cookbook author, Pamela Sheldon Johns and their daughter Alaia. Sign up for Pamela's classes to taste delicious recipes from one of her many cookbooks while... More

I've been to Poggio Etrusco seven times now--Summer, Winter, Spring and Autumn. Every season offers new foods, weather, characters and things to see and do. I first met Pamela, Johnny and Alaia years ago during a short visit to their beautiful property Poggio Etrusco and I've been coming back ever since. What I liked then and still enjoy now, is... More

My husband and I stayed with the John's in May 2012 at the recommendation of a friend and it was lovely! We planned our trip to Italy around this stay because she offers a fabulous cooking class on site. The house is an old farmhouse that they've renovated and the property is private and filled with the biggest Rosemary bushes... More

We have visited Poggio Etrusco twice. Our expectation was to stay in a B&B with standard ‘U.S.’ B&B accommodations where we could also take a cooking class. What we came away with transcended all our expectations and enriched our lives. We found a 17th century farm home and barn now villa that exudes all 300 hundred years of laughter, love,... More

We stayed here a couple of years ago and had a great experience. It is Italian farm living at it's finest. Nestled on a country lane among other farms, Poggio Etrusco is the perfect place to call home while exploring Tuscany. We explored Sienna, Chiusi and other neighboring towns and even attended Mass in the pines nearby. Pam, Alaia and... More

We were a group of 4 sharing an apartment at poggio etrusco in the fall of 2012. We had minor issues with internet, breakfast, and safety features. The state of the apartment was below par at our arrival with dirt under the sink, and "remains" of previous guests in the toilet. All of this I would have put up with... More

This is the reviewer's third negative review. Scroll down to see how I responded to their previous comments as to how we could have reacted if they had approached us at the time they had problems. Unfortunately, nothing was said. I followed up with other guests who were here at the same time, and the sentiment was completely different. The... More
