We stayed at Villa Cicolina during our honeymoon trip around Tuscany. We had a friendly greeting and staff were pleasant throughout and always at hand to help with organising daytime trips and any other questions we had.

Mosquito nets around the windows was fantastic - we’ve been bitten a lot over the holiday but Villa Cicolina provided some protection! The view from our room was spectacular.

The location of the pool is fantastic, it has a wow factor and a small jacuzzi on the side - these are not heated so during October time it was chilly! However, we still enjoyed using them and relaxing by the pool.

Dinners were superb. Would 100% recommend the wine tasting with dinner pairing. The menu is a set menu which is a plus as gets you to explore and try local dishes. Daniele’s hosting was a particular highlight during services.

Breakfasts are good, good spread of cold meats, cheese and pastries but no hot food. Great selection of fruit juices.

This place is the epitome of Tuscan paradise!!! Myself and my partner have just returned from our wedding weekend at Villa Cicolina, which accommodated all of our friends and family and I honestly can't put into words how incredible everything was. From the exceptional views, enchanting rooms, charming decor, quaint pockets of immaculately maintained gardens, heavenly food and delicious wine, to the phenomenally hard working staff, who went above and beyond for an entire year to make it everything we could have ever wanted and worked relentlessly throughout our wedding weekend to ensure our guests were all very looked after.

We have had the joy of staying here twice now, during autumn and the peak summer season and on both occasions the villa is truly the serenest setting and a idyllic form of escapism. It has the perfect combination of rustic Tuscan grandeur (without being pretentious), but with touches of modernism outside of the main villa. The reviews generally speak for themselves, but we were surprised at the odd few comments regarding the location being far away from town and it being 'dated'. This is baffling to us! As soon as we started our research, we knew instantly the authentic style of property we were looking at and it is clearly noted on google maps to be approx. a 25/30 min walk from Montepulciano town centre! Also, one not to be missed.

Our guests utilised all of the bedrooms and therefore we had the pleasure of viewing all of them. We were very impressed with the size of every room and the attention to detail. The main villa and one of the external cottages are filled with character and charm. The tree-house and pink cottage ooze contemporary and modern comfort, so there really is a room suited for everyone. All were kept very clean on a regular basis.

Many of our guests commented on the food and drink being the best they experienced throughout their travels in Italy. The produce all tastes so fresh and we couldn't fault it! The breakfast buffet is great too. I am celiac, but the staff made gluten free seem effortless all weekend, so I felt very spoilt. Allergies and dietary requirements were not an issue.

We already cannot wait to return again and look forward to seeing the wonderful and friendly faces that made our trip so so special. If you are thinking of celebrating your wedding/a special occasion here, or even just to have a relaxing break, don't hesitate... it will be the trip of a lifetime!

We visited Villa Cicolina as part of a Tuscan cycling holiday.

This beautiful boutique hotel is set in a converted villa in the countryside outside Montepulciano (a 20 min walk).

We had a very large attic room which was beautifully decorated, well equipped and had a lovely view over the surrounding countryside.

The pool and gardens are superb and provide a great location for tasting one of the fabulous local wines whilst soaking up the views.

Both breakfast and dinner were superb and of very high quality

If you're visiting Montepulciano, make sure you choose Villa Cicolina for a memorable stay.

The views from the hotel are wonderful. Tuscany on steroids. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is quite good, however it is closed one day per week and it was closed on one of the days of our stay. The rooms are huge but quite old and not charmingly comfortable. The grounds and pool area are very relaxing. Sadly the bed had a large lump in it and the shower was a claw foot tub with a shower curtain that was impossible to close and keep water from leaking on the floor. Could not take a relaxing shower. The electric plug ins are the old 3 prong which don’t work with my adapter. Fortunately the front desk had adapters. The jacuzzi is not heated and useless. Flawed villa that could be so much more.

We chose Villa Cicolina because of the wonderful ratings in Trip Advisor and our desire to try a Tuscan getaway - It was perfect!

The Villa is located just about 1 mile from Montepulciano and its quaint streets, shops and restaurants. It is also close to local wineries and short drives to Siena, Cortana and Montalcino.

The Villa is rustic but peaceful with gorgeous view of the Tuscan countryside from its reflection pool and hot tub.

It has a lovely restaurant that serves delicious breakfasts and dinners (except Thursday nights).

Our room was a large suite in the main building with a sitting room and bedroom that had a very comfortable bed and pillows.

The staff were most helpful.

What we loved most was the VERY romantic dinner for two they can arrange in a private dining room. It made the Fairy Tale reality.

If you are looking for that perfect Tuscan romantic getaway-look no further. It is here at Villa Cicolina.

We booked Villa Cicolina for 4 days across a bank holiday weekend. The room was fantastic - really well appointed and very comfortable. We have breakfast in the restaurant every day and ate in the restaurant every evening. The breakfast was excellent with a really wide range of fantastic produce. Surprisingly for me, I thoroughly enjoyed cooking my soft boiled eggs every day! Dinner was from a limited menu and luckily I eat everything (not so the missus). There was a starter, paster, meat and pudding. You did not have to order each course. The portion size was bang on and you felt you could eat more. The puddings were stellar! My only disappointment was self inflicted - 12 months off the booze and so I couldn't sample the wine every night!! Finally the staff in this hotel are super friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I will be staying in this hotel again in the future - it was excellent and I highly recommend it.

Outstanding hotel with breathtaking scenery and fantastic people & service - the staff couldn't do enough to help. Lovely, friendly people staying at the hotel to.

The interior of the hotel is so tastefully done with beautiful furniture and decor throughout. This is really somewhere to escape away from the city.

We also ate at the hotel - dinner & breakfast: both beautifully made.

The pool was stunning!

We spent 2 nights here, we will definitely be back. Can't wait.

My husband and I had an absolutely beautiful experience at Villa Cicolina! The staff were so kind and accommodating, and the room was gorgeous with a rustic, Tuscan feel. We spent a relaxing day by the pool and loved exploring the expansive grounds. The on-site restaurant also had delicious breakfast and dinner! The waiters, cooks, front desk staff, and grounds staff made our stay absolutely perfect - shout out to Elio for being our hero and taking us to and from Montepulciano! 10/10!

Loved this hotel..great location with beautiful pool setting, comfortable bed and room..We had a suite with balcony which we used often, spectacular view. Each morning we walked in to Montepulciano including Thursday morning for the market, Front staff and restaurant were excellent, very helpful and pleasant, breakfast was very good as well (not sure how any one could complain)? We had dinner one night at the hotel, also very good and beautiful setting in the garden…would highly recommend this hotel.
