Lovely hotel. Very helpful staff. Geat room with balcony. Tasty breakfast. Very convenient to sea. Near town centre. Great holiday. We hope to return.

we stayed in this supposed 3 star hotel last week having driven down through France. We arrived at 3pm exhausted and was rudely greeted by the receptionist (shortish chap, glasses, curly hair) who just huffed and puffed complaining it was taking us too long to get in through the front door (we had 5 suitcases). It was really hard to find cheap accomodation in San Remo so I went for the cheapest I could find, which was Hotel Rio. Didn't really expect much, but I think it was a good choice.
The room was clean and nice, we had a huge terrace and a nice bathroom.
The breakfast was superb and the location definitely OK....
