The old building has no elevator so if you get a room on the upper floors here it will be your day's exercise.
The rooms are a bit dated but perfectly adequate. Excellent breakfast.
Everyone is friendly but it helps if you speak German.

Only stayed one night. Paid 60 Euro. Buffet breakfast was very good. Service was excellent. Very close to train station and town centre. Town nothing to write home about - but not the hotels fault. Excellent if you want a cheaper option than a hotel in Basel (Switzerland) just 15 minutes on the bus/tram over the border. Would stay again.

Even though the hotel is situated in Germany, it is in a ideal location to visit Basel. The train station is 400m from the hotel, main link roads close by, along with the airport. The hotel is also half the price of similar standard hotels 5km away.
First impressions were good, free parking and a receptionist who was friendly, efficient...

We were offered a comfort room after our booking.com reservation failed to appear.
A very nicely appointed room with a huge balcony, we found minor disappointments in thin towels but overall a four star+ room.
The hotel had a simple...

I stayed here during a business trip and booke din several of my company colleagues - it was more like a pleasure trip than business trip thanks to the hospitality and the ambience at this hotel.
The restaurant was fantastic (outdoor in the summer) and the wine list exquisite. Great breakfast and a good bar too - we watched the...

Ott's Hotel was a great experience. The rooms were clean and simple. The location is fantastic (at the top of the hill next to the train station). It's close to the Vitra Museum and street shopping. The rooms were non-smoking with no trace of smoke odor. While I didn't use the pool or sauna, they do have them.
The restaurant...
