Stayed here for 2 nights to attend a friend's wedding. The positives: friendly staff, large room, balcony with view of Lake Leman and Mont Blanc, centrally located between the Nyon train station and the city center, wonderful buffet breakfast (included in the rate). The staff at the Ambassador were all very friendly. The room was cleaned extrememly well each day and the buffet breakfast was superb. No complaints at all. The room we had (322) was at the top of the hotel looking out over the lake.

When we first came in the Hotel a man at the reception welcomed us lovely. We didn't ask for a special room just a "usual" room for the two of us. Hotel very well located in the centre of the town. Magnificent breakfast buffet. Very good service. Proffessional personnel, very helpfull, kind and smiling. Very nice rooms all comfort, clean and with a great view over the lake and the castle. Very nice garden at the back.

Many of the rear facing rooms have balconies with outstanding views over Lac Leman and the mountains on the south shore. Room 101 has a giant patio big enough for a good size cocktail party. What would otherwise be a charming hotel which we have used many times before, I must categorically fault it for its failure to honour a confirmed reservation in writing, and for management being singularly rude in failing to make good on its error by assisting in finding alternate accommodation. A very black mark indeed.

My wife and I stayed at the Ambassador for two nights at the end of May 2008.
