We stayed as part of a winter sports package. We were very comfortable and the small family team looked after us very well - including lifts to and from the railway station, local information, an especially early breakfast on one morning, negotiating lesson times with instructors. The evening meals were fabulous - imaginative menus, attractively presented and delicious to eat....

We have just come back from staying at The Alfa Soliel and everything about our stay was excellent. If there was a rating for friendliness, service and the quality of food this would be a
5 star hotel.
A big thank you to the Seiler Family.

Went back to the Alfa Soleil again this year and had another fantastic experience. The Seilers go out of their way to make you feel welcome and will pick you up from the station (we travelled by train - so easy on Swiss Rail) and offer you a free drink at a welcome meeting. We had a lovely room..bunk beds...

The reception with a cup of tea and the host asking us what we wanted to do during our stay was exceptionally welcoming and personal. We had outstanding panoramic views from our room, with balcony. We spent the week cross-country skiing (classic and skating) for which Kandersteg has miles of beautiful tracks for all levels. The restaurant provided imaginative 4-course...

We chose this hotel for the week of La Belle Epoque. Although only 3star rated. we had a comfortable room with balcony .very helpful friendly, multilingual staff, gourmet food and an excellent programme of possible entertainment for the week. Half board is well worth while, and it is only a five minute walk from the very centre. We'd love to...

This is a nice hotel that is in a good location, especially if you are heading to Oeschinen for skiing or hikes.
The food is of a high standard and the breakfast very varied. It is a family-run hotel and the owners and their son are happy to help with any questions you have.
It was great to be picked...

We stayed for a couple of nights in July. The owner who did almost all jobs at the hotel picked us up at the train station. Our rom was not large but adequate and with a balcony facing the mountain. Bathrom felt very new, although rather small - but adequate. We got very good advice on where to hike. Walking...

I have stayed at this hotel many times. The food really is excellent, and if you stay at Carnaval or New Year you will have great fun. Te service is very good and the staff very friendly. They remembered us from year to year. There is a small pool which our chldren loved. The rooms are not high luxury but...

When we checked in we were told "we were lucky" as there was going to be a "gourmet dinner" that night. The dinner was OK. Our room was absolutely claustrophobic, with one small window, not near to the beds. Breakfast buffet with no "brötchen", just sliced bread. Staff not too friendly and somewhat arrogant.
