Le Pavillon Saint-Martin Hotel and the owners provide a lovely place to stay. Breakfast till noon, also no pressure to give notice in advance which most places insist. We chose not to have breakfast, though the room was very charming. Souillac is not the beautiful medieval town that Sarlat is, but in my opinion it has a character of its... More

This charming hotel is situated on a quiet square in Souillac. The proprietors are very welcoming and helpful and English is spoken. Our room was spacious and very clean with an outlook over the square. Private parking is available for a small supplement but there is ample free parking not far away. There is a good selection for the continental... More

We had intended to stay here for just a night, before venturing down the Dordogne River in our canoe, but I ended up staying longer as my partner did the first trip on the river solo. The hotel was lovely and surprisingly peaceful. We had a room onto the square and, too, the small restaurant across the way, but there... More

We stayed for 4 nights and it was very good. The rooms are clean en cosy. You have TV and also bath/shower. The service was also very good. Situated about 500m off the main road in a beautiful little square and opposite a tall partially ruined church facade. Directly in front of the hotel was a small restaurant, le Beffroi, where the evening set 4 course meal at euro 19 was great value and excellent authentically regional cuisine. The restaurant was packed with people, mostly french, on Saturday... More

This is a lovely small hotel. The building itself is beautiful with original features and an impressive staircase. Our room was comfortable, tastefully decorated, quiet and overlooking the basilica, which was very special. Staff were most helpful and welcoming. We only stayed for one night on our way to Sarlat but next time we're in the area we would make... More

The innkeepers at Le Pavillion St. Martin gave us a warm and friendly welcome and made everything easy: check-in, private nearby parking, lift to upper floors, advice on finding a good meal, excellent breakfast--all were efficiently and cheerfully handled. The setting of the hotel is lovely--in the center of town on a small attractive square, with nearby historic church and... More

We stayed here on our way down to the South West of France in 2009 and actually went out of our way to go back there in 2010. Lovely old building with views over the square and ruined church. We booked a family room for under 100 euros which was large and comfortable. One of the best things about staying... More

What a fantastic gem of a hotel. Found this on the internet when searching generally for a hotel on our way back from south of france. We were a difficult family to cater for as we were travelling with Grandparents (1 disabled), teenagers, and an 8 year old!!. The hotel managed to fit our complex requirements easily. We arrived during... More

We stayed one night at the Hotel Pavillons Saint Martin and were very pleased that we did. The hotel is ideally situated in the middle of this lovelly little town, on a pedestrianised square that has access to bistro restaurants and lots of cultural sites. The hotel is a lovely old building and the Patron and his wife couldn't have... More
