2nd time of staying here. Great location and bedrooms are great. Friendly staff but slooow. Breakfast in the morning was good but took too long and second time of staying i have had to ask for cereal bowls to be put out. Its location is great and if you park over the road on the council car park it's cheaper... More

Now called The Barley. Very centrally located. I stayed there one night. Was given a friendly welcome, with offer to take my suitcase upstairs. A large, clean, recently decorated bedroom with a view of Truro Cathedral. Large very comfortable bed. Large ensuite with monsoon shower, also immaculately clean. Free wifi. Did not eat there in the evening but had a... More

Good situation but dirty slippery decked area is not good sign. Pleasant receptionist/waitress. You have to pay extra to use car park! Bedroom good size and nice clean bedding and towels but shower cubicle and bathroom floor needs good scrub. Breakfast!! Just two choices of cereal. Only orange juice. 30 min wait for cooked breakfast which was cold had to... More

We stayed one night at this hotel after a concert at the Hall for Cornwall. Our room was clean, tidy, warm and welcomining. Shower room was good but the tiles and grouting needed a good bleaching in the shower area. Breakfast was a huge disappointment. Only one choice of fruit juce available (pineapple) when we arrived and hardly any cereals.... More

I stayed 2 nights at the Riverbank last week whilst in Truro on business. I was really disappointed to find out the restaurant wasn't open during the week as this had been one of the reasons I had booked to stay there. I understand there is a new owner (within the last month) and this has resulted in a decision... More

Stayed for one night whilst on business. The hotel/bar was between management so things were a little unfinished and clinical, but it has the makings of a great place to stay and eat. Bedrooms were very large, modern and bright, bathrooms were exceptional, large shower etc. Bar was empty but again could be a great place with some tweaks, great... More

The Riverbank is located next to the Cathedral and very close to the city. Rooms are large and bright, with en-suite and mine overlooked the decking area and local stream. Staff are very welcoming, friendly and attentive to your needs, everything you need to make your stay a pleasant one, and for future visits. Highly recommended.

We went on a saturday night to have some food and were really disppointed to find the place very quiet which is a shame as its a lovely location on the river, has a decent sized outside space and lovely conservatory, the staff were really nice, welcoming, friendly and chatty but the menu was not very appealing, I do however... We traveled from London to attend a wedding on the Saturday. Arriving Friday afternoon, we were immediately looked after by the hotel staff. This exemplary attitude persisted for our whole stay. Every member of staff went out of their way to make our stay special. We also had the added situation of a small puppy which we had to bring... More

I attended my sons wedding at the Riverbank on Tuesday 17th July and we had a wonderful time. The food at the reception was excellent and my opinion was shared by the other guests. I had the Haddock for breakfast and it was perfect. Emma went out of her way to make sure everything went smoothly and couldn't do enough... More
