Very beutiful and well mantained cottage, with wonderful surroundings and fantastic gardening work by the owner. The hosts are extremly kind and receptive. Breakfast is ok. The bedroom is fantastically designed and very cosy. Nice bathroom with adequate water temperature. Facilities like tea, coffee and cookies are regularly refilled. “Lovely quiet location”

We stayed for one night while visiting Stratford. Lovely quiet location with views of open fields. We liked the balcony. We were particularly appreciative that Gillian made the room available to us quickly when we arrived earlier than we said we would. The Snitterfield Arms (just about within walking distance) does good bar food and has attentive staff.

Thank you for your review, and also good to have your response to the newly-opened Snitterfield Arms in the village. Very shortly, the 'open fields' will be full of fluffy white plum blossom which is a treat from the Balcony. We hope to see you both again. More

“Just what we needed.”

To get away from it all, in the cold february month, to a warm and inviting guest house, with a host as welcoming as Gillian, was a tonic. If you want a very quiet, peaceful base from which to explore the Cotswolds then Hill Cottage is an excellent choice. Set in a beautiful garden and run by two friendly but not intrusive hosts, you would find it difficult to find similar accommodation. Gillian is a fabulous host, her home is gorgeous and the renovation downstairs is lovely and modern. Our room was beautiful, the views are of lovely country and garden, the bed was a bit on the small side for us as we are used to a king, but it was still ok, I think that we were supposed to have... Visiting from Spain....Myself and my daughters spent 3 days at Hill Cottage while visiting familiy in the area. We were made extremely welcome....nothing was too much trouble, and my daughters thought it was the most enchanting English cottage, and they loved walking through the gardens and taking photos of the bluebells. The breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend Hill Cottage.

It was lovely to meet you and your girls and to see their obvious enjoyment of the cottage and gardens which must be white a contrast to their experiences back home in Spain. Hopefully we will have helped them develop a favourable impression of their English Mother's heritage! Do please visit us again when you return. More
