Have been many times to Cravendale Guest House - it is an old house but nice. Room, bedding and towels are all presented clean and well kept. Breakfast is well made and very tasty. Good value for money. Host and hostess are very friendly. They can contribute with all necessary informations about Skipton and the Dales. We can strongly recommend... More

The owners were friendly and welcoming when we arrived very wet after a 19 mile walk, complete with dog. The stairs to our room at the top were not for the faint hearted and the room decor left much to be desired. However it was comfortable and well provided with refreshments. Unfortunately the owners' cigarette smoke had pervaded the towels!... More

We stayed overnight and couldn't fault the accomodation, food or hospitality. Don't know where the people who wrote poor reviews were looking! Hosts were more than helpful, we had everything and more than we would expect for this price. The breakfast was yummy and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you. The double room booked was very basic and horribly decorated. The bed was so lumpy it gave us backache. The en-suite smelled faintly of wee. At no point during our stay did we feel comfortable or when we mentioned the fact that we were not sleeping well they did not even ask why. The breakfast was ok. The smell of... More

Stayed here with a work colleague while working in Skipton. Very homely and intermit guest house not far from the town centre. Rooms are basic, clean and have everything you need for a short stay. Only down side is the limited parking in the area and close proximity to the busy main road, but this didn't cause any problems during... More

Arrived at 6.00pm rather wet & muddy after a 70 mile bike ride along the Leeds & Liverpool canal. Bike stored safely in yard and room spacious wth en sute. Breakfast was superb and was my way by nine next morning. Owners very particular about keeping the room clean - rightly so, as I was in a bit of a... More

Stayed at Cravendale on a short walking break with some friends. The B&B website said all rooms were en-suite. This was not the case as the twin room (room 2) has only a sink. Also this room faces on to the main road and was very noisy. The owner smokes in the back yard and smoke wafts throughout the house... More
