The only hotel in bleak Portadown, Bannview markets itself as both a B&B and a hotel. It is in fact a hotel, in a converted gym / squash club. I booked a couple of night's stay over the phone, but decided to leave promptly in the morning after the first night having experienced the landlord's shockingly threatening behaviour, unprofessional ethics,... We arrived here on the Friday evening, as soon as I got out of the car an old man (who owns it or manages it) came straight over to me and my friend and asked us were we looking 'shafted' tonight, he then gave me a kiss on the cheek and hugged me, he watched us taking our things out... More

Having spent 6 weeks at this Hotel I have had a very pleasant stay, the room is very spacious - clean and comfortable and the owners Mr and Mrs Black are extremely friendly and accomodating....I would recommend this Hotel to anyone as its close to all ammenities and central to other areas, as well as being Home from Home..

I stayed at the Bannview regularly over a three year period. I was made to feel like a member of the family whilst there. The Bannview is a well-run and friendly B&B, with an evening meal option which I found to be very helpful. A bar is also available and I made frequent use of Sky Sports there on weekday... More

The very 1st thing that strikes you about Bannview is when you walk in to this place. The smell is one of old burnt cooking oil, it hangs about all day. What I know about this place because I live near it. Mainly aimed at Engineers who are put up here for 2 or 3 weeks at a time while... More

My Husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 night the begining of December with our son and Daughter-in-law. It was very central to the town and easy to visit other areas such as craigavon and Lurgan. We were in N. Ireland to visit family and found it to be an ideal base. The rooms vere very large, clean... I am sorry you were not happy but it would have been helpful if you would have let us know before you departed and thus attend to your problems and perhaps help the next guest. More

Whilst I couldn't fault the rooms and the facilities within them, the overall experience was less than impressive. The exterior and the entrance is pretty bleak; there is no reception area to speak of. Their website boasts a licensed restaurant but fails to mention that it is only open from Monday to Thursday. They must be doing very well indeed... More

This B&B was clean, tidy and handy. Handy in that it is very central to Portadown town centre and handy because it is opposite a Tesco/McDonalds shopping centre. This B&B has its own parking facility, yet it within 5 minutes walk of the town centre. The cost is quite reasonable and is one of the few B&Bs with a good,... More
