Had a 2 night stay in the Monsal Head hotel with 10 friends. Hospitality First Class, food First class, would've got 5 stars but the rooms are a bit tired.... Wonderfull friendly staff, cannot express enough how great the staff and food were..... good place for walking the Monsal trail with great views from most bedrooms. More

A charming old coaching house/Victorian railway hotel. The Stables bar has a wonderful array of real beers and the same great menu as the main restaurant. Excellent! We stopped here for lunch before a walk with our dog. The stables bar out the back allows dogs. The food was truly excellent and there's a good choice of real ales. Excellent location for walks and views. Thoroughly recommended! More
