I would be giving an excellent review because the setting is lovely, especially outside and they do a very good veggie breakfast. However, as other reviewers have said, one of the staff-members is extremely sour faced and rude. In spite of this, we did go back the next day and her mood had not improved but we were ready for... We are staying in a cottage at Hope but decided to wander down into the village for breakfast. Several places to choose from but glad we chose the Woodbine Cafe. Ordered a bacon and egg roll the size of which made us both gasp. Very well cooked food, nice coffee and pleasant service. No hesitation in recommending to others.

We went for breakfast and ended up booking a room and staying for 2 nights! Very friendly, the breakfast was excellent value and for a small donation to Edale mountain rescue they allowed us to charge our phones (we were originally camping). We stayed at woodbine cottage , the room was very clean, we had lovely fluffy towels and the... More

Went for a coffee and ended up having a buttie as well. We have been here a few times and always had good service and food. It was a lovely sunny day so we sat in the garden at the back of the cafe ( a real sun trap). They do a large selection of food both hot & cold... More

Rang to see about booking a room and the lady who spoke to me was very rude. Not even going to bother. Word of advis, you will go out of business if you carry on the way you speak to potential customers. disgusting!

Popped in here today for lunch with my dad after a walk. We were served by a very friendly and helpful waitress. I had a sage derby and onion panini which came with lovely fresh salad with homemade coleslaw. Open fire was very welcoming. We paid less than £15 for two teas and two paninis. Very good value. Will be... More

Food ok and this place could be quite pleasant, but as posted elsewhere, the staff and owner are rude. There appeared to be no childrens menu so we tried to make do with the existing offerings, much to the grumblings of the sour faced woman behind the counter. The fire was going out, the staff appeared busy so I asked... More

We stopped here for much needed refreshments after a days walking. If you're just after a hot drink, you may be OK. However I also ordered a cream scone. This I would have expected to be served as a scone, with cream and jam on the side. No. They had 'made it up' already so that when it was served... More
