I can not say enough about the hospitality, service, and charm of the Sallyport House. It was within a short walking distance to shops and restaurants in Kenmare, while also offering picturesque views of the Kenmare Bay. Our room was charming yet spacious, especially with "stateside" bathroom amenities like fresh towels and large shower/bath space. My husband and I held... More

Wow. My aunt and I stayed 2 nights here on our trip to Ireland last week. The rooms are super clean and spacious. Nice towels and all the American touches like washcloths!! The breakfast buffet was so tasty and a custom hot breakfast was also included. The B&B has gorgeous grounds and is an easy walk into Kenmare. The restaurant... More

What a wonderful B&B. Our room was so spacious with it's own sitting room, with a huge picture window that overlooked the lawn and the trees down to the water. Even the view from the bathroom was beautiful. This is a fine home with so many details. The walk to town was a beautiful stroll along the water through a... More

Sallyport is located within walking distance of the two main streets in Kenmare. The walk to town is through a lovely nature preserve where the tide rises and falls. Views from the house are of the  Kenmare Bay to the front, gardens to one side and the nature area to the rear. The house is decorated tastefully with period furniture... More

We were lucky enough to have two nights at the Sallyport House in Kenmare. It was an elegant yet warm spot from which to enjoy the beautiful sites in the Killarney area. We were met at the door by Janie, who was our hostess for the duration of our stay. Our group of seven were the only guests and we... More

We only stayed overnight but wished we had more time. The short walk to town through the Park Hotel grounds is beautiful. Very quiet, spotless and luxurious home with fabulous views. Kenmare is a lovely town with many eating establishments to choose from and traditional music. Overall a 4-Starr experience!!

My husband and I recently stayed at Sallyport House for the better part of a week, using it as a base for touring the Beara peninsula, Ring of Kerry and Dingle peninsula. Janie was a most gracious hostess, and her breakfasts were terrific. We had a very comfortable room with king bed and lots of storage for luggage and clothes,... More

We loved the location of this B&B. It is a stone's throw from the river and only a five minute walk into town on a footpath that ran along the river! No walking on busy noisy streets. The room was spacious and had a small sitting room with a killer view. Everything was sparkling clean and the room was well... More

A tastefully decorated, perfectly appointed home. We arrived very late in the evening after an emotional day visiting relatives in the Midlands. Our host greeted us warmly and quickly helped us get settled directing us into Kenmare so we could get a late bite to eat. Our room was actually two rooms, with a charming sitting area. After our touring... More

We stayed only one night (July 2 last) at Sallyport on our way to Waterville, but wish we had more time to stay at this gorgeous home in such a truly beautiful location. The room was large, lovely and very comfortable. The surrounding area and the town itself were beautiful. Our host, Janie, could not have been more warm and... More
